I have come across time and space,
wiping the dirt and sweat from my face.

The wind rages all around, tearing and pushing at every part of me,
I can only envision the path that lies ahead of me.

This is not some storm where I can just walk away,

this is my past, my present my everyday.
    past, present and everyday.

I made my choices I know it's all there for you to see,
it's the sad fact of the reason we cannot be.

No matter how good I make things now,
it's always no maybe, no way, no how.

this is my past, my present my everyday.
    past, present and everyday.

I'll find some way to move along,
I could even make some simple song.

But no matter where I go, no matter how hard I try,
I know this is how I'll die.

So I'll help you now, and maybe the next couple I see,
I'll follow this wind wherever it carries me.

this is my past, my present my everyday.
    past, present and everyday.

So forgive me if deep down inside,
I have some hope for all the times I've tried.

That maybe you'll be the one someday,
    that will free me from

my past, my present my everyday.
free me from my past, my present my everyday.
