I want a vintage leather jacket....

 

I have never been into bags so much, but I LOVE BETSY JOHNSON bags. She always has the cutest fabrics and stuff.

I love living over here in Germany because we have H&M and C&A and they aren't expensive, but a lot of times they have funky clothes that look like they came right off the runway =)

 

Betsey Johnson is definitely cool.

 

lol because hippies are renowned for their high fashion sense... lol ... it'd be either wonderfully hypocritical or ironic

 

I think I define hippie more loosely than thou!

I'd rather not let what people see me as define my interests.

 

Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this way, but the idea of having a high fashion section on a hippie forum is just plain... disturbing. I just don't like the two words within 100 miles of each other.

 

i started posting here such a long time ago, i evolved past stereotypes as i aged =)

i like fashion magazines, i like clothing design, sometimes i like to look well put together and other times i like to wear ripped pants and frank zappa shirts. nothing wrong with high fashion even in a place like this

Maybe it's my background in Anthropology marrying my inner artist, but I find the ways that people decorate and beautify themselves to be fascinating and beautiful. From "hippie" to "high" fashion. I love fashion and design and I think personal style is a huge part of one's character.

I think fashion is beautiful, and I never had any problem with peoples' personal tastes in clothing (high fashion or not). It's part of what makes us unique. I studied historical fashion and ethnic design, after all. The only thing I find regrettable is the big guns designer labels and chains. More and more fashion labels have become part of the blatant Capitalist consumerist market, not to mention the unethical aspects.
I'm completely not trying to attack anyone's personal choices here at all, I'm simply putting my two cents in on the topic of this thread.

Oh no I absolutely agree. I find it to beautiful and inspiring but it is a shame that a lot of designers underpay their workers, use exhaustible resources, and fuel consumerism. But I think there is still room in this world for high fashion - there are designers who are more conscientious of a world in crisis than others.

i agree! im a kate spade baby ;0 ... yeah, been wanting that chanel flap bags for long now but it's too pricey for me

 

I love those vintage chanel long pearl necklaces.

I have an old kate spade handbag and a makeup pouch, both have held up so well, i love their designs too.
