is being gay a matter of right or wrong; natural or unnatural

Ok everyone I think that the sole purpose of sex is for reproduction. everything else is just what humans have made it into. So my question here is do you think being gay (men or women) is a natural creation? Think of it like this what if everyone was gay and stayed within the same sex. What would happen to the human race? How would we reproduce and survive? This could possibly lead to our extinction because of the lack of reproduction? These questions are my personal reasons for believing that being gay is not normal or even natural at all. Maybe it's not even meant to exist but it's a sideeffect of our ability to reason to choose which no other species in the world has but us. O yea and if it's one thing I learned from this website is that you can think of the nastiest posssible thing that human beings is capable of doing and as long as that capability is there then there are people out there doing that (Fucking amimals, scat sex, etc.) So tell me what do you think about what I said Here. Im very curious to know.

PS: Im only playiing devil's Advocate here and is not out to offend anyone but just like you I have differing opinions as well.

 

I think homosexuality must be natural, or everyone can potentially become gay. I don't think I can potentially become gay. I couldn't say it's just some kind of mental disease if some gay person is saying it makes them feel healthy and happy. It wouldn't make me feel healthy and happy; it would make me feel like an insane raped slave.

Whether sex is for reproduction is a question of freedom. People who enjoy having lots of sex aren't doing it just to make babies; they're just being free. But then there is overpopulation and littering the environment with latex. It does seem filthy and irresponsible in a way. I guess you just have faith in humanity to deal with these changes and disregard the trash. If we're going down, we're going down in flames, I guess.

 

Being gay is not a "side-effect" or a defect of character. Our bodies were built to reproduce and that's something homosexuals cannot do. However, if you think about it, we're one of the few animals in this world who have sex for pleasure and not just for reproducing. We enjoy sex. sex is healthy. Homosexuality is just as natural as butt sex. If it's something you like then go for it. <3 is <3.

 

Some animals use sex to say hello and goodbye...to dominate and to control...and no I'm not just talking about humans.

I think it isn't anything out of the ordinary..I'd go with "natural."
Humans are probably more likely to become gay through nurture rather than nature though.

Now? we'd be screwed but it wouldn't necessarily be the end of civilisation. Even gay people want kids...and we can now have kids with out having sex.
I'm sure even gay people would do the old "in out - in out" to have a kid if they had to.

It doesn't matter if being gay is natural or unnatural or right or wrong. People make choices, and who the fuck has any right to pass judgement or "play devil's advocate but not wish to offend" when someone has made a decision regarding their sexuality which does not necessarily fall into what someone else classifies as normal.

 

The same right that you gave yourself to write this comment is the same write I gave myself to post this thread. Also I worte it so I can understand the way how other people think about my questions so I can see from different perspectives not to offend any one, which is why I emphasized that so people much like yourself won't take it out of context yet your always going to have dickheads that do. Also if you were smart normal and natural are two totally different things. The norm of things can radically change all the time, it's just majority rules. If something Natural radically changes it would be consider unnatural not normal.

 

If to be gay exists in human behaviour,which it obviously does, it must be natural as is all human behaviour.Some behaviour offends some humans,other behaviour pleases and some are neutral.Opinions learned from experience run the gamut regarding behavior.It's the human condition.

 

so you must also think beastiality (sex with animals) is natural as well because that is also a human behavior for some. Drinking cow milk is also natural as well too (although this may be a little of topic) because we are the only species on earth that drinks another animals milk. I don't think that all human behavior is natural because we were granted the ability to choose unlike the rest of god's creation, which allows us to do just about anything we want. Cloning must also be natural too huh!

 

Correct me if I am wrong, but this thread seems to be about behavioral issues being "right or wrong". Homosexuality and beastiality are behavioral issues while cloning is not and seems like the wrong context to discuss it in.

 

Natural is determined by what is manifested,one's experiences,moral judgements aside.Not altered,treated or disguised.

 

I read an article which had a theory that the gay gene created because a gay man was less likely to go out and fight and get killed but would rather help raise young thus increasing the chances of the offspring's survival.

 

I think he means "healthy" though. Like, is tolerance of homosexuality good or bad for the human race in the long run... If it were some kind of mental disease, like he is implying, I'd say it was bad. But I think some people are just...gay minded. Or even if someone chooses to be "diseased"...it's good to be tolerant. It's actually kind of gay to be intolerant.

Which is in the end how it all works, the vast majority of straight people have close to no interaction with gay people, most of the info about gay for them comes from TV and Movies, and if they do have any close gay friends they never really see the inner circle or if they ask the dumb questions, they never get the truth, but for some reason assume they do....yeah because when someone asks you a question about sex you always tell the truth right.

Which is in the end why none of this argument matters in the end, it all takes you decades to work out even the most basic stuff of human nature, the most important of which is ...........everybody lies

So that'll never happen.
And plus, plenty of gays and lesbians have children.

It's very normal/natural to be gay... And I strongly believe you are born gay.
