You'll have to let me know how Free BSD is, as for me I've been hankerin to try a Mac, they are great fun to ridicule but I am kinda curious to try a mac other than the relics that were in my high school mac lab.

You can always build you a Hackintosh. Google it for details.
Run it in VirtualBox and you can ditch it when you are done!

Yeah, Ubuntu variants have really improved in the last couple years, it seems most that say they arent into it are ones talking about a couple years ago.

Not that in the end there is a whole lot of diff between some distros

I might try that as soon as I get my computer down to 1 OS that isn't in the process of slowly killing itself. After that I'll have to try this idea.

Get Linux Mint. Plays everything without going nuts for codecs. My favorite distro!
    Thank me later.

OS X is basically all the joys of Linux, but easier to use. I have studied the kernel and sub-systems of many many OSes and found OS X is based on the best. It's not even a fraction as bad as some people try to make it out to be. All the anti-OSX hearsay is based on absolutely nothing.

Has Microsoft developed a full-fledged, level 3 shell scripting language yet? Linux/Unix has several. OS X naturally has several since it is based on BSD and the Mach kernel. If you ask me, Microsoft needs to catch up.
