I'm about to start a really strict diet for weight loss (6 week body makeover if that helps). It's low sodium, low sugar, low taste. I've done this diet before and I had great results (didn't keep it up though), but the difference now is that I have since switched over to a vegan diet. The diet doesn't really offer many suggestions for vegans. They offer for vegitarians and just say egg white. But I'm not sure what to do for my protein, which I get every meal. I'm going to the store today and going to pick up some protein shake powder and fake eggs. But I was wondering if you all could give me suggestions for low sodium meat substitues or a way to get the protein without the meat substitutes since I don't like to do much of the processed stuff. I've been vegan for a few months now, but I don't know what to do with such a restrictive diet. Please help.
Thanks. Anything else, though? I don't think I could do beans for every meal for every day. But thank you for the reply.
Breakfast: plain oatmeal, mixed with Chocolate protein powder & 1 spoonful of peanutbutter. Lunch & Dinner: How about rice and all the salad u could eat. Snacks: fresh fruit or unsalted nuts
Hmmm, that might be something I could do with the protein powder that I got. Cause, I certainly can't drink it. At least not without throwing up. I'll give that a try tomorrow. Thanks. Those are good suggestions.
