I had the opportunity to catch them live in Orlando a few weeks ago. Absolutely magical, very unique in sound and production. Any other fans? Any other similar magical music? :piggy:

Decent band. However, Tobacco?! I can't believe his solo stuff was that shitty. While I really think Black Moth is solid, I feel like they should be a little more experimental then they are. It reminds me too much of normal rock music with a few vocoders and synths... lol

I think they're a nice balance of 'experimental' and pop. Very listenable, hummable, but quite different from 'normal rock'. At least it seems to me, I haven't turned on a radio in a loooooong time. :piggy: If I want experimental I'll go listen to Nurse With Wound or something. XD

I need to hear more of Nurse with Wound. I love that shit.

Did BMSR come out with a full length after drippers? I know I really liked that EP and was kinda hoping more of their newer stuff would sound like that.

I don't know the exact order, but my copy of Drippers says 2008 while Eating Us says 2009. Eating Us is a full-length. I haven't actually listened to Drippers 'cause I got the edition with the scratch and sniff cover, which is the shrink wrap. I don't want to open it and lose the scratch and sniff bit. D:

It's hard to tell, actually. XD The closest I can guess is 'incense' - the only incense smell they could get in scratch and sniff formulation. It's strong, and good, but I think I'm the only one who thinks so. "Smell my CD!" "Geezus what is that smell?"

Lol. That's awesome. Hey since you paid for a hard copy, you can always download the EP and see if you like it ;)! The first track is probably my favorite song by them ever.

Eh, they're alright. I liked them at first but it didn't take long at all to become extremely played out; and no, I was not listening to them that often.
Most, if not all, of their music sounds the same. Every song has the same sound.
I'm no musician, but I was not impressed.

I've never understood this divide between BMSR and Tobacco fans... I can hardly tell the difference between the two, if anything Tobacco sounds a bit darker and more solidly put together. At any rate, it's very good shit. I love the video for Born On The Day The Sun Didn't Rise
