Do you have any suggestions? I am looking for a beverage that has some flavor to it, but little to no calories. I tried having a few diet sodas because I really wanted something other than water (I know that is really bad) and I am having allergic reactions to aspartame. Itching and welts all over my body. Not a shock considering that aspartame is poison, but I really wanted a soda. Unfortunately I can't find any sodas with stevia and I am so sick of iced tea with stevia. Any suggestions?
I love a 50/50 blend of fruit juice and seltzer water. Since you're only having a little bit of juice it ends up being pretty low in calories but its still really satisfying.
I drink alot of ice tea, I don't like sugar in it, but alot of people do, and you can get green tea, which is supposed to be good for weight loss. Another thing that is really good is mix orange or pineapple juice with diet sprite or diet 7 up. It tastes like some kind of mixed drink.
Hello, Try drinking mineral water, trick your brain, sometimes the abstinence to sugars and soda is evil, but the sensation of the carbonate water in your throat makes you feel you're actually drinking soda. Mineral water is great, just do not drinking it while youre working out or youll puke, It is a little trick, but since you're looking for a flavoured beverage I have no suggestions on this question, but yeah gatorade seems to be good, plus calories arent that bad, it all depends on the sources where they come from. And dont forget to drink 2 liters of simple water a day.
The best thing to drink about (95% of the time) is Water. You can't go wrong with water (0 calories). And you can drink it with any meal you eat. But also herbal tea and certain fruit juices are great for you too.
Good in small amounts only when working out. But it has far too much sodium to drink regularly. Just stick with water. If you force yourself to drink it at first, eventually you'll like it. Juices will then taste too sweet and sodas will just be plain gross. It'll work, just gotta force it for a little. The duration of forcing would depend on how deep your addiction to these other beverages is.
if that only worked.. i saw a thread somewhere here on the forums that showed that our brain can tell the difference between natural and unnatural sugars.. and in no way are we tricking ourselves into the whole splenda/sweet n low deal.. your brain knows
a lot of the new Gatorades and Powerades have little to no cals.. Powerade makes a ZERO(0 cals).. while Gatorade has Focus.. which is like 25 cals per 8oz..
This is true. It's not primarily the taste of a soda that makes us crave it most but the refined sugar. There's no tricking your body out of its fix other than by slowly reducing your addiction to refined sugar. If you've been drinking pop in any quantity (which has 40 fucking grams of sugar per can, multiply by the number of cans per day) you have a significant sugar addiction already and simply switching to diet soda isn't going to to help because the addiction is still present. You may not be consuming that sugar but the cravings will still be present, causing you to eat more carbohydrates of any kind. Sugar is the most glycemic form of carbohydrates but any combination of the equivalent carbohydrates, even if they're complex, will still have an adverse effect on your physique. And aspartame is a proven neurotoxin, but I'm sure everything knows that already.
My suggestions would be water with a splash of what ever real fruit juice you like. I tend to mix orange juice with cranberry juice. Don't drink too much juice though - the sugar can add up. That's why you should do something like a 30/70 mix with water. Carbonated drinks make you retain water, so it's best to refrain from those. Diet or regular, you'll still retain water. And they are right by telling you to steer clear of sports drinks due to the sodium. When you're working out, your body needs it, but otherwise, that too, will make you retain water.
Flavored sparkling water, tea, diet coke (if you don't mind fucked teeth). But just water really is the best
