It's Magic my Brother, we bring it with us, we hold the keys to the universe inside us. We have/are fulfilling our destinies, coming full circle and regrouping here in this time and this place.

Our combined energies draw us together to reunite our forces for the things to come, we come to prepare, to make ready till our house is full and The Garden is in Haromny once again. We come to finish brining in The Age Of Aqurius, fulfilling the Prophacy of Change. We were here from the beginning, we are the Change. We are here till the End Of Days.

    Blessings

You may recall the "Big Bust" when SF's finest bum rushed us one early morn. After making bail (what a scene at the Police Station), we returned to a totally wrecked Cole Street House. My room was trashed. All of my posters were ripped off the walls and my guitar smashed. The carnage was front page news in the Chronicle the following day. Tony, "Mr. Platypus," Serra had a field day.

What happened to me next I can't comprehend. I was asked to join a Good Earth reconnaissance mission to the Salmon River via the Magic People's Farm. It was me, Cyril, Aquarius Tony and Hydralic Jack. As I understand it, the mission was to find a place in the woods for the family to go to in case of an emergency (total police state / revolution?). We were all outfitted in jungle boots, camouflage fatigues and an array of weaponry (I was given a crossbow with target arrows). I forget how were got to the Magic People's Farm, but when we got there Cyril and Tony met with one of the Magic People and got briefed on how to get to the Salmon River. We set out on the "mission" and hiked all day on logging roads. We came across a refrigerator at the top of a dirt road. Jack says, "let's take target practice." Jack, Tony and Cyril proceed to shoot hundreds of holes into the fridge. Then, a pick-up truck comes roaring up the road and a dude jumps out and says, "that's my propane refrigerator you're shooting up!" To make a long story short, Tony gave the dude a Good Earth business card and said to contact him later to get reimbursed for his loss.

    Scene 2 - next....

    Hey, Wizev,
Names sound familiar--- faces are better--- it was you or Mark who was at a group grope at Billy Vagas's. Is the Larry you speak of "skinny" Larry "the hat"? from the Oak Street House and N.Y.

Names are not all remembered these days. If Billy was the black pimp with the Maserati and cute white wife then it was me. Other wise it was Mark. Larry Lautzker was Larry the Hat from Brooklyn and Oak Street. He now has, I believe, a clothing store in Marin) he was a friend and business associate of Howie Rosen and my brother Mark (and you, as I remember it). Mark's girl was Sunny Siemen's who then went and had a baby with Ranger. To refresh your memory, I have pictures posted on the forum or you can go to my Facebook page or my site at wlzev.com. I moved up to upper Cole Street (Judah/Parnassus) with my girlfriend Nancy Wewiorski ( a social worker, whose sister Mary I seem to remember you hitting on) and Leo Ron used to warehouse some merchandise with me. I also, on occasion, drove a crash car. I was with the family (with some time back east to graduate college and to dance and play in an off-Broadway show) from 1970-1974 What is interesting is that you expect that the people you remember most will remember you as well. It isn't always the case. c'est la vie.
    In brotherhood,

I arrived at the GE when I was 14. before we opened the oak st house we were in the fillmore. Steven, kitten, joanne, marty? i came up with my brother, mark to visit jimmy mac and met steven and stayed. the GE was Stevens vision of an open society. its structure or lack of it, was the subject of many a family discussion.i grew up in the family, moving on when i was about 22. i lived on the 3rd floor of the oak st house. and clearly thought of myself as the princess. how self absorbed and totally niave i was. i wonder about people. Steven, rebecca and nathaniel, joel, cyril and nancy, kitten. leon, larry hat, gypsy.whitey, mouseman, many others, terry trueheart, steven soffer. linda penn was seen on tv in some kind of interview about cults. wendy was still living in the same place in sf. larry was in sausalito and joel was in sacramento. but i have no recent news of them. i knew about oregon and remember mouse with great affection. i remember his first visit. i really have no contact info for anyone.

    Dana,
Mama Kitten is still in Sf as is Wendy(re; Wendy, as 3 years ago when I left SF). The last I heard of Linda was from Wendy. I'm fairly sure Mouseman can get you in touch with Wendy, if not let me know and Eden can get us acontact info.

    Dana;

Wow!! Always glam, sexy as hell and unapproachable. In and out like a wraith living the "high Life". I was just mentioning you to Stacey. Everybody (including myself) was wondering what happened to you. I woulod not be surprised if you don't remember me since we did not have much interaction. I was mostly concerned with mundane things i.e. fixing cars, moving furniture, playing music, trying to organized the finances for the families communal evening meals and of course trying to get as high and as laid as much as I could. Glad you've survived and glad you've connected with the forum. Welcome home.

Dana, Dana, Dana. Wow! Absolutely thrilled to know you came through in one piece. I doubt you remember the first time we met but I certainly do. I had to go up to the third floor to see Aries Ron about something and you were in The Hat's room. You had just hung up the phone (and maybe you were lying back on some sort of faux fur throw, not sure) and obviously it had been Steven you were talking with. First thing I heard you say was to Terry. You chuckled, then said, "Steven calls me 'Dana with the big tits'." I almost choked. Princess indeed. ;-) Naive maybe but you carried it well. Do you know when Linda Penn was interviewed? Last time I saw her she was moving to a commune somewhere in the Sierras, in '75. A few months later there was a huge article in the S.F. Chron about it. That's the last I heard of her. I miss Terry, often wonder what happened to her and her brother, Steve. I saw him in late '79, he was working for Amtrak. And Laura Weed? Any ideas about her?

Hey all, sorry I haven't related my ideas about a possible doc but I will get around to it when I can find the time. Zev, a fictional account would be sooo expensive and I seriously doubt any distributors would be interested in investing money in putting it out there. Besides, in our case, truth really is stranger than fiction.

    Peace out, y'all.

actually i do remember you. and i think i remember wexler. i was always fond of our guys.there weren't any i didn't like. i felt like i had lots of brothers.breeze, leo ron, mouseman, you. some i had more contact with than others. although i don't think many knew me well and some thought i was aloof.
i arrived at the house on fillmore pretty damaged from a real abusive background. it was my first exposure to big ideas and ideals. everyone was kind to me. i didn.t know people could be so NICE. there was an emotional resonance that stayed with me my whole life that i will always be grateful for.
in the beginning all things seemed possible. i was with steven for a long time. he was a great guy and has remained a great influence to me.eventually i was seduced by the glam. pretty people, money.travel and risk. but i never really fit in as my communal upbringing was more politically slanted than was socially correct. i did some really stupid things. some of them were fun. but pretty stupid. and some things make me cringe. like everyone else, i guess. this has been a month of reconnects. i am not sure why. maybe the closer you get to where you're going, the more you glance over your shoulder.

Amen to that, Dana. The "family" trip you took to Mexico and back in the RV with your mom, your sister, and Ray scared the shit out of me. I'm glad I didn't know about it until you were already back. I would have been a wreck.

Ah, the seduction of the pretty people, etc. It is always so alluring but in the end it's all so vacuous and empty! I can't count the number of times in L.A. that I've seen it devour kids' souls. Pretty is as pretty is and stupid is as stupid is. In the end? Pretty stupid. Eventually the looks go and it's just stupid. The general perception of the glam world is always so misguided. Those that want in don't realize that those running the show are heartless predators.

A lot don't survive it because of weakness within. One thing about the core group of us from GE is that we were (are) stronger than most. Debauched at times, of course. In over our heads at others, absolutely. But always learning and surviving to be better people. And that strength and knowledge came from our love and faith in each other. "That which doesn't kill us only makes us stronger" is more than just a saying. I truly believed about us then, as I do now, that we really do want the world to be a better place when we leave compared to the way it was when we came in.

Of course you remember me, who doesn't? I was just talking about the first time we met. I don't know how many times you and I would just hang out and talk. But I do know that I always cherished those talks. You had a great influence on my keeping my sanity when Leo Ron and I were doing business out of Upper Cole. And I will always love and be indebted to you for that. As nutty and chaotic as dealing out of there was, when I would find you alone, or with Terry, I always felt a certain serenity.

    Hey Dana,

You probably don't remember me, but this is Sag Danny (Spud). I came to the Good Earth in 1970 to visit my cousin Rose (Breeze's old lady). I ended up staying. I lived in Upper Cole (next to Wendy's room) and at the Haight Street house in the garage out back. About the only real interaction I had with you was when you asked me to install some speakers in your house (I forget the name of the street, but it was above Haight Street on the hill). You lived there with Wendy, Joel and his partner. I hung out a few times and never got around to installing the speakers.

    Hey,girl---

Long time no sheeeee--- there's a song out, something like--- I know I'll see you again someday. Just seeing your name brings back so many memories. When I here your name I see your face then and have grown with you through the years. Of everybody I have missed you the most. Not very many men gert to know someone such as you. You can't change the past, but you can tell someone how much they meant to you--- it's never too late for that.
Don't let me get maudlin here, but it was awesome to hear that so many are doing well.
I hear you had a daughter, also? What's her name? My daughter name is April Snow. I christened her spiritual name "Spring Spirit" forever reborn in the driven snow of Spring.
As it seems to be my curse with personal relationships I F----- that up too. I've done a lot of analysis cleaning the demons out of my closet.
It was a real bummer about Cyril. I always thought that someday we all would sit around on the back pourch looking across open fields to towering mountains weighting the results of the past. Has anybody had contact wth Cancer Nancy or "Boogie"?
So many thoughts run through my mind--- I want to hear everybodies story and the thoughts we carry from then to now. From what I hear "Wild Bill," Torus Barbara, Zev, just to name a few of today's more colorful success stories.
From what I hear Shameless Heifer kept the light on on the front pourch so that we could all find our way home.
I finnally got "Mousemans" email so he's next on my list of contact. I've been trying to get a hold of David Whitiker the elf of the tribal gatherings. Has anyone heard from "Mad" Anthoney, Darrel, Kitten, Nathanial, Rebacca, the "the white-haired lady on the mountain I last heard--- aaah, there are so many. Names keep popping up depending on which memory passes through my cortex.
I'm pretty much doing the same as always. Now instead of trying to save the world its one person at a time starting with myself. Right now I'm an Americorps Vista Volunteer attached to the National Coalition for the Homeless developing, "The Faces of Homelessness Speakers' Bureau. I receive a stipen from AmeriCorps and with my SSI I'm maintaining.
Send me an email, include pictures. I will reply and attach some of mine. There is a picture of me in my profile My personal email is kool8stacey@yahoo.com, cell phone 954-892-1665. I have another phone through ComCast that is paid monthly with unlimited calls and I can call anybody back.
Pardon all the verbiage, but it's like the dam has broken---
    the results of the past

Here we are again, Smack dab in the middle.
But let me tell you, it was hard keeping the love light burning, but nomatter how dim it got it never went out.
    Love God and stay high!!!

    Spud, excellent quote.
I strive always to live up to that expectation-- as Peter said in the bible, "The spirit is strong, but the flesh is weak." That statement had a specific meaning for Peter, but it fits many of the realities of life.
