Just curious if anyone here has seen the northern lights tripping.

I'd go to canada myself and check it out but I've got legal preclusions.

I've seen them, but not while tripping. I spent a year north of the arctic circle, and I only saw them once. Not exactly a common sight, even if you are that far north, so to see them while tripping would be a truly fortunate event.

i was actually about to post a thread with the same topic title except about the song northern lights by fish, but i have not seen the actual northern lights in my life besides text books...Iam going to have to wait a little while before i go near the stuff and befre i go near the northern lights....From the text books ive seen, it is one of the most awesome naturel light shows on earth.

Its going to be a nice treat for when iam older.

    extremely sci fi, fantasy
i will just quote the back of the first book for you :D

"It was no ordinary life for a young girl: living among scholars in the hallowed halls of Jordan College and tearing unspervised through Oxford's motley streets on md quests for adventure. but Lyra's greatest adventure would begin closer to home, the day she heard hushed talk of an extraordinary particle. Microscopic in size, the magical dust-found only in the vast Artic expanse of the North-was rumored to possess profound properties that could untie whole universies. But there were those who fered the particle and would stop at nothing to destroy it.

Catapulted into the heart of terrible truggle, Lyra was forced to seek aid from clans, gyptians, and formidable armored bears. and as she journeyed nto unbelievable danger, she had not the faintest clue that she alone was desteined to wine, or to lose, this more than mortal battle"

--it was recently a movie, a terrible movie...there were 2 good parts of the movie: 1) nicole kidman played her character well and 2) the polar bear fight scene was pretty epic

my favorite books of all time :D

Yea man D9 was cool, for an action movie. I read a review about how it had so much more depth to it than many other alien movies so I was really psyched for it but found it to be rather mediocre in the end. Almost like the writers wrote this badass idea for an alien movie then just followed a template made by a previous Arnold Scwatzenagger movie or some shit. It had some pretty sick moments though.

Back on topic: have I seen northern lights? Yes, but I smoked them all soon thereafter......waaaait.

i have a plot for a movie...The main character a angel who gets messages in his head from god, mother nature and other high figures, that let him know when a close family member is going to die and is given the choice to save whoever is going to die or let himself die...Heres the catch....The only way he knows who is going to die is by going around listening in to the messages recieved from god and mother nature...Weather it be a bill board sign, a traffic light changing to certain colors answering questions in his own head while doing so,adding certain numbers to make up birth dates,or listening into other people conversations to pick up clues...Along with this he has to fight other demons and has a team of fellow angels that accompany him on saving his knowledge...The members of his family who he saved, his father and nephew....In the end he lives after his team of fellow angels fight off a giant replica version of the marshmellow guy from ghostbusters who was sent to destroy him...The movie takes place over the course of eight months, from winter into summer, the marshmallow fight scene takes place in downtown manhatten around battery park and ends with the marshmallow guy exploding letting him be eaten by all of the watchers

Iam a future director. I copied the ghost busters movie a little bit, but iam sure nobody would mind.
