I saw a video on positive psychology...and it re-iterated two concepts in a way i hadn't heard done.

The old one i heard was that you can live in two ways

in the present, always in the moment...experiencing life and being involved in the flow...this is what they called it, the flow. The flow relies on actions, continuous actions, these may very well be in equilibrium or some sort, but all equilibriums are equal flows...not still.

Or you can live in the past/future, looking at what you have done and what you can become...meaning. This is a difficult concept...but meaning is how we have free will, how we can choose, because we ask ourselves what means more...groups like kabalah and such tell us to seek out what means the most to us in order to have a fulfilling life.

    So

    meaning and flow.
These things together create our experience of life. This is the substance.

To have great meaning and little flow, is to put too many eggs in one basket,

to have great flow and no meaning, you have no control.

In any case...this experience we have is where we really are..it is the true reality, everything else is an agent to be where we already are.

In a psychic sense...I think that a spirit is all meaning and it only attains flow when we gift it the flow...we can say..."the spirit of my father moved that page" and that spirit will readily take up that claim, borrowing from terry pratchet's small gods there.

I think a person can build up their spiritual experience by resigning flow they observe to spirits who can use it to express their meaning.

That makes a lot of sense to me. An interesting way to look at spirits, gods, and essence.

It seems to me that meaning would be the search, reflecting on what you already know and looking ahead to what you need to know.

Whilst the flow is living in the now, outside of the reflective state and perpetuating conscious action and reaction in the world around us. Thus, creating the reality out of the meaning and understanding derived from our search of what is true.

I was thinking about this subject today whilst on my daily walk.

I realized that both states of mind and being, are needed.

Before I awakened and turned towards a spiritual path, I had seen no meaning in life. I negated the existance of God and a spiritual world, I drifted along a rough course.

It wasn't until I found meaning in life, realizing the existance of a spiritual world and a reality beneath the surface of the one presented to us from birth.. That I began developing a sense of self.

Until I began searching for a meaning to life and a deeper understanding of reality, I was unable to live in the "now" for what is the point to live in the now without any purpose or meaning?

    I do not see any.

I feel however, that thought may be more important than action, as thought is the initiator of action and movement. We need to work with the power of our thoughts to set a structure upon which we may manifest our dreams through conscious action and awareness.

We do live in a higher realm, it is just whether or not the individual chooses to exploit the potential to manifest his or her vision. Imagination and thought are key here along with will, intent, and concentration. For me, I had to discover the meaning of my reality, to unveil what my inner passion was - the driving force within my being and soul. Once I aligned myself with my higher dimensional aspect, which holds the blueprint for my incarnational experience, I have unlocked the keys to manifesting what I envision.

Of course, I am speaking more along the lines about how to create the reality you see. How to manifest your vision. It starts first in the mind, followed by intent and concentration, lead and finished by conscious action.

The law of attraction, what you focus on you will atract into your life. The Universe will give you the opportunities and tools to create the world you see, but it is up to you whether or not you consciously move towards that goal.

    Yes.

And ultimately, the universe is what we want it to be.

So why make it such a problem?

Your life is what you want it to be.

Discover what you are intending for your life.

My life is like a computer game.

I like it like that. Don't give me any BS about how it "should" be. This is what it is, and this is how I want it.

You want it some other way? Fine. That's between you and the universe.

Just don't dictate terms for me as well. I have my own ideas. Let me be.

    Get it?

Discover who YOU are, but let me be who I am.

That's pretty much all there is to it, I think.
