Gemini's are alittle off..

I do believe Virgos to be quite the offbeat characters of the zodiac. Almost every time I discover a new Virgo, it is not a long time before I find their behavioral quirk.

I find one common quirk in Virgos to be an attraction/fascination with dark and morbid things (for example, Stephen King and Tim Burton are both Virgos) like that kinda thing. Another quirk I've spotted is a certain distance from other people; these Virgos, despite usually being very friendly and outgoing when needed, had a certain "absence" to them even while actively interacting with others. Kinda like as if they're living a temporary life with us humans and their main life is off somewhere on another planet. I know that sounds odd, but it's just my perception.

On second though, because as a Gemini I *do* agree that we are indeed offbeat in our own way that it's probably just a Mercury thing.

Boy George - Gemini - Former singer/performer; if you know who he is, I don't need to elaborate on why he is "offbeat" lol

Johnny Depp - Gemini - Always plays quirky behaviors that are no doubt a reflection of his quirky self. (JD is also commonly acting for Tim Burton, playing his often morbidly eccentric characters)

Mike Meyers - Gemini - Has quite an offbeat sense of humor!

Paula Abdul - Gemini - She has some "interesting" behavior on American Idol....

Macaulay Culkin - Virgo - Several of his movies had morbid under-themes, but were still able to portray them through a sense of humor

Cardinal Richelieu - Virgo - French activist who sparked civil uprising in renaissance France, responsible for thousands upon thousands of deaths and highly morbid conditions at the time

Keanu Reeves - Virgo - Actor. Seems off in his own world (he's never really in the media and plays particularly offbeat characters)

Tom Felton - Virgo - Plays Draco Malfoy, a sinister character in the Harry Potter series

Michael Jackson - Virgo - Need I say more?

I'm aware that the actors/actresses in here aren't identical to their characters, and that they are just roles that they play. I'm not offering any of this as solid, scientific facts either; just trying to give some examples of where I perceive these signs to attract the "offbeat" theme..

 

Alot of true points on here, And since I've been dateing a gemini snake, I'm starting to learn more about it =).

On A virgo's perspective of this.

We share the same Planet, Mercury. I think all the same tendancies are there, but at a minor reflection of each other.

One of the major things to Gemini's is the several Personality traits, that are pretty much random at times. Also to the point that some gemini's may not know it is there.

Virgo's have these as well. The minor difference is, We Know of them and develope them to how we need it to be. Its more controlled in over aspect. Me at work and me at home are two different beings. It also gets more complex then just two but you can get the drift. If dealing with someone at thier home, I am kind and will treat you nice. However if you look deeper into that, you will see nothing. There is nothing lol. If someone has a major gripe or complaint that is illogical at the time, they will not find me being sorrowful, forgiveing or giveing in at all. They will just see the kind/treat well being that is in front of them restateing facts.

Knowledge wise. I believe gemini's like reading alot more. Where as virgo's tend to take things in a smaller bits and contemplate them around in thier minds more, for all angles sake. Which is not bad. Though Gemini's from what i've seen like to take in alot more up front.

Gemini's are more adventureists and will be quicker to go do something. I think this is one of the major differences that can be seen. Where as virgo's can be more grounded / dull. However virgo's can process these things out a bit more and make it all workable.

Overall with the girlfriend I have now being she is a gemini. We have lots to talk about I do exploit her overtalking a bit but it only means I can figure things out more afterwords . We get along great and truly happy that i got to meet her =).

Yeah what the helll is with Geminis? If you've ever really known one, Obviously they're a little off...haha! From my personal experiance with Geminis they are not to be trusted

My boyfriend is a Gemini and to say anything below being perfect or unique about him will only anger him, from personal experience with this guy, who I've been really close to for 8 years, is that he would agree he was 'a little off' if he were on this forum, but only to appear better or different from everyone else. It's almost as if he's offended when i mention something common about him, im not saying he's a bad person, i think its subconcious, its just the gemini in him, you like to be unique. and im the same way, im a sagittarius and i hate when ppl compare me to the ordinary, i wouldn't admit it in person, but its offensive lol but the only difference is i acknowledge the fact, and will admit it if someone approached me about it, but if someone were to approah him, he would completely deny it, be angered by it, and not even beleive it him self, geminis are very very VERY stubburn with things like that lol my best friend is also a gemini, i adore geminis but they get on my nerves when they wont admit their faults without a fight, im also super stubburn until i get them to admit it, usually no one wins lol

 

I'm a gemini and I'm not really sure whats up with me.........I dont think I'm crazy but I know Im def differant. I just feel like an alien I dont belong around people on this earth with all the fucked up shit going on.

How about this whole mercury being in retrograde on and off for almost the whole year? I know it's been kicking my ass severely, how about you guys? This has been one of the worst years on record, at least for me.


And I think one of the best things about being a gemini for me is that I can take opposite sides in a debate and then argue myself into a stalemate. Keeps me entertained anyway

This year has been pretty spot on communication-wise. What I've noticed about this year is that my health has been going crazy. Suffering from many different random things with no justification in the onset. It's been very on and off too. Like waking up horribly sick one day, and the next day I feel perfectly fine. And then it will happen again.

Maybe my Mercury is badly aspected to the 6th house and the retrogrades are reflecting themselves in my health? I'm not sure.

Gemini's are great on surface level friendships: their a bit quirky, witty fun to be around, great communicators etc. On the other hand, I have bad experiences with Gemini's, my dad being one, can be really two faced about something. He can tell you he believes one thing, and when someone else walks in the room, tell you he believes the exact opposite of what he just told you, without even flinching...its truly astounding the deception and two-faced nature. I also have friend's who have dated Gemini's who look completely in love with my friends on the outside, only to find out she'd been cheating the whole time.

I don't mean to stereo-type because this is based off my personal experience, but I've found these commonalities with many gemini's....since every sign of the zodiac has their downside, that's there's I suppose.

Gemini's: What words would you use to describe yourselves, both upsides and downsides? Please correct me if I'm wrong in any way, I really hope that my experience with Gems is a fluke of nature and its not the true you.

 

Well, I'm not like what you described at all. I don't hold much stock in astrology either though =P I have very strong beliefs anytime I can figure out where I lie; and I'd never cheat - there's no point in being in an exclusive relationship if it isn't a damn good relationship.

I thing the biggest upside and biggest downside is, I can see both sides of everything all the time (and more when applicable). It can be really awesome and make me feel or seem wise, and it can help in situations where neutrality is best.
However, other times I'll see the other side of my strong belief, and make myself feel like I'm almost wrong for having any convictions at all =P
Or when I am trying to find a stance on something, it can really piss me off when I think I got it, and then I see the other side. Or when I just can't decide period.
I guess I'm pretty indecisive overall at times..

Oh, and in all fairness, I am at the end of the Gemini period (May 26th) so I'm not full Gemini. But everything (professional) I've read explaining what geminis are like has fit me really well.

 

I have meet a gemini women who is younger than me and I love everything about her, even her moods. She can be critical and bossy somtimes but i know it wont last long. I love watching her go through all her personalities in one day, I don't want to be with anyone else.

I'm a aqua so I guess that is why I understand her completely. If we cannot be together as a couple I will have the next best life can give me, to see her grow and change through the years. I am truly blessed and honoured to have meet her. I'm very proud of her and have alot of respect for her.

Life is good what ever happens between us, I admire her very much.
She has rocked my world I have never been in this position ever.

i'm a gemini and i can say that i've always danced to my own beat instead of the one everyone else is dancing to. i like it like that though, I do things my own way and sometimes it makes things a bit rough but eh it makes life so much more exciting.

 

I think one of the interesting things about me being a Gemini is the duality in many aspects of my personality, which seems appropriate since it's the sign of the twins.

I wish I had known my whole life what being a Gemini meant and why I always had an "invisible friend" growing up (could be explained as my unconscious) but during high school, my bad twin dominated me until the good twin took over in college. It is believed to be true that Gemini males will always be the same twins his whole life and that a female will be one or the other unless she comes to a fork in the road like I did with my Aries Moon. I am a Gemini with an Aries Moon and it all makes sense now that my unconscious behavior could be my fiesty, Aries twin. I love being a Gemini, however, I hate dealing with fighting with my other twin for control, sugar and spice attitude, constantly talking to myself in my head with two sides to everything, frequent changes with decisons, passive agressive behavior, badbadbad mood swings, always worrying, fighting off being fake....basically, I'm too much of a Gemini for my own good.

 

Well she no longer contacts me anymore and i miss her heaps.

After reading your thoughts I can understand how my x gemini friend is thinking. Maybe oneday she may come back into my life, but I won't hold my breath because I would probably die of no air.
