slut is used when a guy is upset a girl doesnt go for him. its ok for men to be sluts but woman do get judged in a an unfair way.

 

So many people took this the wrong way.

It wasn't meant in a derogatory sense. I persoanlly wouldn't be happy if someone called me a slut if I didn't know them or it was said to be rude. It's a hard word. But someone saying 'I love slutty girls!' isn't being rude or derogatory, certainly not intentionally. If it's okay to be easy and inhibited, what's wrong with slutty if it's meant in the same way? It wasn't meant to be disrespectful.

I persoanally like the word, but I wouldn't usually use it in discussion with someone who I didn't know or wasn't on the same page as me. It could be disrespectful. There are probably a lot of words that are seen as vulgar by many, that I don't.

Anyway, I love it being said during sex. I love a bit of rough, my boyfriend will call me a slut (and other things!) and pull my hair whilst I'm giving him head or if he's taking me from behind. It's like a sudden rush of blood to the head!

As well as that, one of my closest male friends constantly calls me a slut and is so turned on by it that I take it as a huge complement.

Can't recommend the book "The Ethical Slut" enough. I wish there were more threads on here about true polyamory. The women-oppressing double standards and stereotypes seem to run rampant in a section of this forum that I would not expect!! I think I want to start a class in the free school section on polyamory... maybe combine it somehow with feminism and anarchism... who's down??

Hey, Captain, I'm down for that. I'm polyamorous and, well, not really anarchist, but at least I'm minarchist with admiration for anarchists. Interesting that left libertarians, i.e., anti-corporate free market libertarians, admire anarchists, but anarchists seem to think that we're worse than statists because we should know better or something. I don't know. I've been told I'm a slut and I have no clue what defines one.

 

Just because I'm an anarchist doesn't necessarily make me an elitist. Yes I believe that inequality and oppression, wars, etc, were a part of the evolution of subsistence strategies, economic systems, political systems, and ultimately culture.... and that by abolishing hierarchy (blah blah blah so many factors I could get into) we would live in relative peace... but I am also an avid believer in not judging others. I DO believe in anarchy as a political philosophy, but more than that I believe in anarchy in my heart and mind. A great quote from a great book Days of War, Nights of Love: "When your heart is free, the ground you walk on is liberated territory." I'm not sure if thats 100% what it says, I'm paraphrasing, but you get the idea. Anyways what I'm trying to say is that as an anti-hierarchical horizontalist (terms are interchangeable- i just like to emphasize the term horizontalist because I think it says a lot more), I do my best to look down upon no one and treat everyones opinion with respect- especially when it differs! How does one grow and learn otherwise? My goal is just to set examples by the way I lead my own life and hopefully inspire others to follow suit.

But back to the topic of the thread- haha... That's great. Its so awesome to see people taking words that are supposed to be derogatory and turning them into terms of empowerment. Like hell yeah I'm a queer slut anarchist dirt-eating vegetarian feminist!!

i enjoy being slutty. whatever that word means to you i guess. but to me it's about being open with my sexuality, freely expressing it, viewing it as more of a physical act than its other romanticized, socially constructed version.. doing it when i want and how i want it.

Just cause I love to fuck, and I have few inhibitions I can get labeled that bullshit word (that is only hot during a spanking or blow job) while men are like...raised in status when they act on the same behavior.

How many derogatory words are there for females? How many for males? Yeah. That's my point.
