The rise of Septum piercings on girls

I for one have mine done, and I think it's pretty damn hot on other chicks when I see it.

It used to seem like a "strictly dude" piercing...which is why I think so many more girls are getting it now.

What are you thoughts?
I think it's pretty dope.

 

I like the way it looks. I got my septal piercing from coke use, not from an intentional piercing, but I wanted to make the best of it so I got a couple of rings. I don't like the hassle of maintaining it in the winter, so I wouldn't have one done on purpose, if I had the choice again.

 

I don't like it. It makes me cringe when I think about how painful it must be. It's the only piercing though that actually puts me off. I'm never disrespectful enough not to look someone in the face, but the whole while I feel a bit sicky. Each to their own, but I shudder.

 

Yeah I've heard that before. Eh. It's just like any other piercing... it smarts a bit then it heals and it's just like part of your face

 

How long have you had yours? Mine is great in summer, when the air isn't dry. No problems to deal with. I love the edgy look, and the reactions it gets from guys.

Winter, not so much.

 

I've seen some women pull it off really well. I think it depends on the person though...

 

Mine hurt less than getting my ears pierced. I actually didn't know that he had pierced it until he put the cork on the needle.

 

I got my septum done last year and I'm really happy with it aside from when I have a runny nose lol.

I also have both sides of my nose pierced, which hurt A LOT more than my septum did.

 

Oh mine's pretty fresh, got it before work one day a month ago or so. So far no problems...I actually really enjoy the gross side of piercings (as in...the fluid you randomly leak, the crusties that form, etc.) haha. Just fun to play with and clean and fiddle with. I haven't had a fresh piercing in like...3 years.

hah, yeah. I go door to door for an environmental group for a living...so I talk to A LOT of people in a day... & it's cute to see really sheltered suburban children be like...staring in confusion at it. Or when old people ask about it haha

 

I dont like it because i dont like how it looks on anyone.... but they can do what they want.

 

I don't think it is all that new. Out of people I know almost every person I know with any kind of nose piercing is a girl. One of my friends 12 years ago had a septum piercing and she was a girl.

 

this is my septm when i had it.. liked it but it itched cuz of allegie season and it didnt hurt at all to have it peirced

whatya mean it didnt hurt!! it hurt horribly for me, probly cause the first was wrong and the second time was wickedly swollen, but alas I enjoyed how it made me cry, its just unavoidable to cry when your septum get pierced, well maybe I should say you eyes water something to do with everything being connected I suppose

 

thank u b i miss it too but its too annoying with my allergies and it didnt hurt!!! becuase i dont really feel pain and i peirced it in the right spot (most people who do it themselves just stick it in the nose but u have to find the weaker cartidle which is the septum) and stck in it really quick but my eyes watered simply becuase it was the semptum

 

I have my septum pierced and I love it. it's my favorite piercing I've had. I think the worse part of pain is when she used the clamp in my nose to direct the needle. That was the most painful. the actual piercing didn't hurt whatsoever. I also like it because it's so easy to hide for job interviews and such teehee

 

I'm not a girl but I have my septum pierced and stretched to a 2g didn't hurt to pierce or to stretch till I got to 4g. All was done by myself. Also I love they way septum piercings look on girls shmexy as hell !!
