many of you may know this already, and some of you may be able to go further in depth, but I learned this weekend that aluminum foil reacts with the acid, and therefore is NOT a good place for it to be stored. This may be clearly stated else where, but I had not understood why aluminum foil wasn't a great idea until this weekend. Supposedly high gloss magazine pages are better.

if anyone can go in more depth as to why this is true, I'd be glad to learn more

    :cheers2:

I understood that the reaction can occur when there is water involved with the foil, but don't quote me on that. moisture's bad for acid anyway.

yea im pretty sure moister has to be involved for the reaction to take place.. i ALWAYS store mine either in a small zip lock or a film canister or something close with a locking top.

I have no info on that whatsoever. I had two blotter held in foil before and it still worked great so thats all I know.

I hope this isn't completely correct. I hope it has to do with moisture. I have mine stored in foil, then in a ziplock baggy that was rolled so that there is pretty much no air in the bag. Then it's in a tubberware container on top of that. It worked well for 2 months storage, I'm hoping it will work for 6 months. Otherwise I may as well take them this weekend before they get any weaker.

well what i have been told to do is do plasic wrap (not necessarily a bag) maybe like cling wrap, then foil (for sun) and then something sealed and dark so like gpkid says, film canister works good. so its almost double air protected(if you make the cling wrap do its thing) and then double sun proteced.

i even heard of a dude who didnt use a canister but a ziplock and then duct taped it all up and threw it in a bottle of alcohol for some amount years and it worked great. but that could have been a lie, idk

id suggest follow the rumor and cover it in plastic or something

bottom line is lsd WILL stay good for years if stored properly.. i always keep mine in a film canister in a shoe box inside my closet. and ive stored hits for years this way. reason being is i stock up when i can. so i may have 200-300 hits at a time just sitting, and we all know how long it will take to get rid of them. im not a drug dealer by any means. so when i feel like tripping i do.. my cousin ate some tabs that were from back in 1994 that i had stored away (unknowingly) and tripped her face off in 2007. and i gave them away!! thinking these things CANT be good. on the contrary they were still as potent as the day is long..

foil is unessecary and not air tight by any means .. i have these green pop top bottles that are the size of a normal pill bottle that i use now that you have to sqeeze the side to get the top to pop off. it duznt get much more air tight than these things. and they work fine. lsd isnt as sensitive as eveyone makes it out to be. as long as its kept away from heat, sun and moisture its all good. its like the expiration date on regular medicine like ibuprofen and tylenol or scheduled drugs like vicodin or OC's they all have a date.. you know why? so if they expire you will throw them out and go buy more, its all bullshit.. you can most defintly eat old meds and still get the effects ffrom them as if they just came off the shelf.

duct tape is sticky which has the word "moisture" written all over it. make sure there is an air tight barrier between the hits and the tape if you go this route..
