I think the pain factor is really to be taken into consideration w/ how comfortable you are. Being the first time, it can be a little nerve racking. Move slow, do a lot of foreplay, use a good water based lube and chances are you'll be more into it and the pain issue wont be as much of an issue. Still, it's likely it you'll feel some discomfort the first couple or so times.

Sounds like your ex did in your hymen, but you are still considered a virgin if he did not enter you. It is rare for the hymen to completely cover the vagina - usually it has a small opening in it which is enlarged or torn when the female first has intercourse. Sometimes there is blood, sometimes not. Some women will have hymens which are wide from the start, others lose their hymens riding horses or bicycles, or through manual stimulation of the vagina.

it didnt hurt me at all. i was a bit sore for a few days after but that was it.
i had already broken my hymen so i didnt bleed either. i also like it pretty rough so that could have something to do with me enjoying it so much my first time :p

The main thing that causes pain is nervousness. When a girl is nervous, her vagina tightens up.
