I can proudly announce that recently I acquired a beautiful piece of Rose Quartz. This piece set me back about $400, but it is definately worth it.

I am leaning towards giving you negative reputation, considering you are launching stones instead of treasuring them.

 

Oh I get it.... it seriously took me a minute of looking at this thread going "WTF is this?"

Here's a fun fact, you can shine a light behind rose quartz and the light going through it will make a star pattern.

 

That is an awesome fact. Ofcourse a lot of us stoners know that already, but it is always mentionworthy.

Yeah, but unlike most people here I don't buy my stones. I harvest them.

 

I have harvested a few myself. Latest harvest was a small piece of Pyrite (Fool's Gold). What was your latest harvest?

 

I found some sweet trilobite and brachiopod fossils up at Thatcher Park last year, and I stole a slab of Mississipian Marble from the summit of Solitude Utah, not the coolest of rocks but it was more of a memento of sorts.

 

A hunk of garnet. Skierdood and I camped out at Garnet Lake in the Adirondacks this summer.

 

Yes, we did.

There's some Awesome slabs of Mica on some bike trails near me that I want to get some samples of. I can sit there and peel mica apart for hours, its a great time waster.

 

I must prefer my blood diamonds.

just today i picked up two new crystals!! Lapis lazuli and Apache tear (obsidion)

in addition I have orbiticular (ocean) jasper, bloodstone, and lepidolite
