Hello. I have been here a while but have never introduced myself. I a 21 year old female from central florida, born and raised. I work in a local theatre as a children's theatre director among other things there. I am a cultural anthropology major as well. for a while I wasn't sure what I wanted to do... I love traveling, learning about different cultures and helping people so I decided when I finish school I want to join the peace corps and then see where life takes me after that. I really don't know what else to say. My life is an open book but you don't have to read it all right now. Well, I am looking forward to being a part of the community... wow I couldn't have sounded any more cheesy just then.
Welcome Day Dreamer! Where can I find this book of yours? Do they sell it at the local borders? Where do you like to travel? Been outside whatever home country you are from? Oh and the last line wasn't that cheesy. Maybe a bit corny but not cheesy.
It is mostly passed through oral tradition... and whatever journals I can get my hands on. And is not for sale but I will share for free. I live in the USA and i have been to central and south america and Caribbean islands. I want to go so many places but haven't had the chance yet. :-( I can deal with corny. hahahaha
Awwww. No paper form? lol it's cool. You seem like an awesome person. Hopefully I bump into you on these forums. Not physically because that would be kind of odd. I too live in the US. I really would like to travel to Japan for some reason.
hey! im new here too... florida's cool... have you ever gone to the rain dance festival? im pretty sure its around there somewhere
I have a friend stationed in Japan. He loves it and says that I would fall in love instantly! I really want to travel to India, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, various islands, Egypt, Japan, and basically everywhere else in the world. haha. There is not one place that I do not want to experience. Then my book would be far more interesting...
That is quite a list you got there. lol Let me know when your book comes out in paperback. Hardcovers are too expensive lol.
I will definitely let you know. I may save paper all together and make it a web book. wait, isn't that just a glorified blog? ;-) hahaha
Well that is a good idea. There are people out there who get paid solely from their blogs. Maybe that is something you can do?
It's funny my roommate and I were talking about starting a blog... working title "Cheap Adventures" we want to talk about our crazy adventures but also healthy recipes, decorating and fashion on a budget. I think it would be fun.
Welcome to the Forum! I hope you get to look around and enjoy it all! As for Florida? I've never been there...yet. I'm scheduled to fly to Tampa and visit the area from September 12th to 15th (SouthWest Airlines from Bradley). I'm a Connecticut native and my three siblings have all been there. Also, my former Department Manager from work now lives in Bradenton.
Why thank you! My brother was there in 2004 to see his Seattle Seahawks beat Tampa. However, I'd have to root for Tampa by default this time, since Dallas is my second least favorite team. He's also been to Jacksonville and says there's much more to do in Tampa in comparison. On a side note, my sister has been in Clearwater and my older brother has been to Daytona and Legend's Field in Tampa (spring training home of the Yankees).
