So i pretty much listen to everything! But I was searching for some more older music..from around the 60's...also good music to smoke to;) what i've been listening to lately is Dave Matthews and Animal Collective. So it'd be great to find some music like that too. ( I know those two are both completley different) If anyone has any bands they'd like to send me, I'd greatly appreciate it!! :)

If you like Animal Collective check out Panda Bear and Grizzly Bear. The fact that both bands are named after bears is pure coincidence. Panda Bear is the solo outing of a member of Animal Collective, and Grizzly Bear is just another offthewall experimental indie band.

If you want good 60's music, listen to The Smoke.

folk/acoustic "60's" music... LEO KOTTKE...enough said...Try and Stop Me, Greenhouse, Essential Leo Kottke, are good albums for starters..

Animal Collective...i would try Mum (a good friend of mine loves animal collective, but Mum is her favorite)...although not very similar, i think you would like it...Try Nalepa too (myspace.com/nalepa)..some really good chill music from Nalepa...his Flatlands album is world class, and his new Sunflowers EP is pretty fantastic as well...

Dave Matthews is awesome. I suggest Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. The Doors is great to smoke to also.

SLSK is pretty good for downloading, but NEVER use limewire. Torrents and file hosting sites are really the way to go if you know how to avoid malware.

for torrents - just download the program "UTorrent" for a rule of thumb, then go to piratebay.org and type in whatever your looking for...you will download a "torrent" file which is very small...after download is complete open it up in the program i just told you to get (UTorrent)...once you open it up, it will start downloading in UTorrent...way better than soulseek or limewire in my opinion...and lots of times you can get free albums from artist's page themselves (TheMotet.net has like 3 albums for free just from the last few years alone...albeit some are side projects, but still good music...better than that sh&t on the radio atleast...)

check out these bands for 60's stuff: electric prunes, blue cheer, moby grape... those are just some i didn't see.

if you want good music, well, there's a good bit around. especially to just sit back n groove to. check out: keller williams, toubab krewe, diplomats of solid sound, mighty imperials, corleone, dave grisman quintet (or any thing grisman is associated with), phish (obviously), moe, dubconscious, marujah, telepath, rjd2, sts9, eoto...

tried to give you some variety. hope it helps.
