I've been living nude (during the summer months) for awhile now. Not only that but five years ago, I got into nude modeling. Many of my current friends and former friends don't know I'm always naked in the privacy of my own home but when I started modeling, I told all of my closest friends as I'm proud of my work in a way. I guess I believe in capturing the natural beauty of a female since I think the female body is a work of art. I'm 24 years old now (soon to be 25) and still do nude modeling around the US. I have an amazing boyfriend I've been seeing for 3 years and he supports me as long as I'm comfortable with it and I'm respected by photographers, which they've all been really nice and respectful. But when I first got into nude modeling, most of it being very artistic and fine art styled nudes, I lost 90% of my friends. There was a period when I didn't have any friends at all. I've even had people, some who I never even met bash me hardcore for my career choices. I've been called a whore, a slut, and even people have accused me of being self centered and a cold-hearted bitch (when I'm very laid back and just like to relax). In the past, I've had girls want to beat me up and guys think I'll probably "put out" because I do nude modeling. If I don't, they feel rejected and treat me like shit. I've been denied entrance into house parties and house gatherings because people I thought were my friends for even 10 years decide they don't want me in the house because I'm some whore. My boyfriend claims he's had at least 20 people try and tell him to break up with me because I'm a nude model even though he's never listened to them and has ended his friendship with some people because of it. Still today, its hard for me to make friends. I have my boyfriend and one female friend plus his best friends like me. But I haven't been able to make any other friends since then. I don't hang out with stuck up preppy rich kids either. My friends are hippies, ravers, goths, and people who present themselves as being open-minded liberals. I know one girl who was an escort (prostitute) at one time (but she keeps that a secret and I don't gossip so no one really knows) and another girl who is a stripper. None of those girls ever get criticized for their career choices. The escort is cool with me but the stripper used to always bash me until 2 months later she became a stripper, lol. People think I'm the bad guy because my photos go on the internet, magazines and art galleries.

IS WHAT I'M DOING REALLY A BAD THING??????

I don't suck anyone's wooo for cash!! So what is the big deal??

    I hate people sometimes. ;)

Its not that, everyones boyfriend gets too excited when told what you do, you get too much attention, the girls hate that, they thibnk you are going to steal their boyfriends etc.

Guys get shitty cos they cant get a girl hot and free like you, so they all project their shit on to you rather than analysing their own behaviour.

Its not just about your line of work, this kind of shit starts to happen with everybody at mid 20s once the girls start to get into serious relationships, start the marriage / baby planning.

And unfortunately it just gets worse as you get older, especially if you look a lot better than girls your own age

But in all reality, all I need is a good female friend, my boyfriend and his friends and family to approve. Which they do. If my mom approves (which she does) then there is nothing wrong with this.

Haha, maybe. I'm almost 25 and people tell me I still look like I'm 19. I hate that but people always remind me its not a bad thing.

Yeah, shits fucked up, you dont even really have to be that hot, just looking younger than you are will do it.

But yeah thats whats going on, they're all get bitchier and jealous as they get older, and they'll use every other excuse under the sun rather than say the truth, if you want a female friend she has to be around the same ranking as you or else she is just going to get the claws out

Don't let small minded people fuck you up. If you like what you are doing, keep doing it. The only approval you really need is your own. <(^o^)>

What you are doing requires you to be careful about those who could seek to exploit you, though you seem to be wordly wise.

Aww, your story made me feel sad! I hate peoples jealousy and bitching. I'm not a nudist (I just like this forum!) but I have nudist friends and their nakedness never bothered me in the slightest. I've done modelling myself and I've also taken my top off. It wasn't glamour modelling (although that sounds like fun, but just doesn't suit me) but it was pretty and tasteful. Lots of my friends are erotic dancers and one is a bloody good escort too! I would never put up boundaries because of their life choices. I hope you can find friends who aren't going to be so uncomfortable that they have to be so in control with things to the point that they just mess things up. You seem so head strong and I like that.

    i agree with Vanilla Gorilla.
the problem with nude modelling is that its public, and no matter how artistic its supposed to be, it will always look like the point is to turn men on. so yea, people will always associate it with prostitution, and even though its stupid, its a fact.
the way i see it, your friends go check your pics, your male friends go "rawr shes hot", and the girls are jealous and start saying u're a wh*re.
its the curse of beautiful girls, nothing new really.. but yea with nude modelling, its like u're screaming to the world "i know im hot, look at me", even if thats not your intention, it will be the message stupid people think u send

i go to school and lived in sf for a while. i can't believe people are that close-minded about this sort of thing. i frequent the nude beach fairly often. it's a lifestyle, it's not about sex! i'm sure you've been to baker's beach, i'm sure you can make some friends there but it's hard because, if you're a chick coming up to a dood to chit chat, he'll think something's going on, and when a dood comes up to chick, same shit again. i don't mind people coming up to talk to me and i usually go with another girl and i don't mind people talking to her either, but if i think she's becoming uncomfortable, i'd just shoo them away.

you definitely should reassess who you call, "friends" because true friends wouldn't give a rats' ass about these things. all of my friends knows me well, when i'm a little tipsy they'll say, "any moment now til **** runs around naked!" but america as a country/people are not very accepting to nudism. when i'm traveling abroad, no one cares if the girls are walking around topless, no one stares, it's not that big of a deal, but here...janet jackson slipped a nipple, the world is going to end!!!! hahahahha.

i'm done with my rant now, it's 6pm and i just woke up. i start school at sfsu in about a week, hopefully i'll run into you for a ciggy. have a good day. okbye

I never understand why some many people have a problem with nudity!! It annoys me that violence is considered acceptable in the media but nudity is generally not. I'm guessing that part of the reason you're getting such a backlash is because your attractive and so, when nude are perceived to be sexy by most people (including nudists) therefore your poses are considered to be sexy and not just a naked human. I would imagine if you were older and overweight your nude posing wouldn't cause such a stir. i once posed nude for an artist friend at university, but her professor would not let her submit the painting because of my physical appearance! She was extremely annoyed.

If it makes you happy keep on doing it

There is nothing wrong with your modeling. As long as you are cool with it, you should be respected for it. Just ignore the creeps who diss you for it.
