EDIT: ROFL, I mean't 'rubbing', not 'tubbing'.... haha

Hey guys, well my dreads are coming along great, and I've found/made up (atleast as far as I know) a really good technique that locks together your tips and whatever else you want. Now, this may have been found/done before, but I've never seen it and this is for new people who might be able to use it, don't bash me please :piggy:

It's kind of like palmrolling, and rootrubbing together, but palmrolling does NOT work for me for some reason, it made my hair alot looser, so this is how I found this.

Basically what you do for your tips is
    1) grab about 1 inch from the tip (So you'll have about 1 inch of hair) with your index, thumb and middle finger (Kind of like how you grab a pencil)
    2) Open your palm flat and smush your three fingers into your palm and..
    3) Spin a clockwise circle 12-15 times
    4) Spin a counter-clockwise circle 12-15 times
    5) Profit - No more loose tips

If you do this without pinching and rolling slightly with your index & thumb you will have blunted tips. I did not want them, but they kinda look cool to me how some of them are blunted, and some pointy.

For your locks that won't lock up in some places is
    1) grab the hair that's loose like this
(My rendition of what I mean via Photochop)
    2) Take the bottom part of the hair, where your left hand grabbed, and put that piece of hair together with the other peice you grabbed
    3) you should now have a U shaped piece of hair coming from your right hand like this
    [IMG]
    4) Open your palm flat and smush your three fingers into your palm and..
    5) Spin a clockwise circle 12-15 times
    6) Spin a counter-clockwise circle 12-15 times
    7) Profit - locked up hairs

It may not work for the next person, but this worked well for me, it locked up the two teeny-tiny dread babys I had in the back together, now I gots a bigger, better looking one. It also took some of the 'twist' looking ones out from looking somewhat like braids aswell. I hope you guys got some use from it, and don't be mean! I'm just trying to help :piggy:

sounds like a lot of work for an effect i could achieve by doing absolutely nothing.

It's really nothing, honestly. If you consider taking 10 seconds to rub your fingers in your palm hard work then... :toetap05:

No, there's nothing tiring about anything here. Rootrubbing is more tiring and a pain in the ass than this. This is like a godsend compared to root rubbing lol

I used get bored with some of my straight tips and fiddle with them like that sometimes. Now those tips are breaking off over a year later. Leave em the eff alone. The tips that blunted on their own are much healthier.

    .. Oh, I didn't know I did... lol.
Ask yourself this - Why the hell would I go to DHHQ, and post their shit here. I don't go around looking for 'Dreadlock maintenance techniques', and I found this worked the best for me, so I searched here, didn't see anything similar, and posted it.

So I didn't get this from DDHQ, thank you very much.
