Alright so about 3-4 weeks ago, he broke up with me. Idk if this helps but i have realized I love him now that we are apart and I'm missing him like crazy.
But the point is, ever since he broke up with me, I've been having dreams that we somehow get back together, end up kissing, etc. If we're not back together in the dreams, then he appears in my dream at least in SOME way. And it keeps reoccurring over and over, EVERY night. Whut does this mean, does anyone know, or that can interpret?

Dreams are often simply mental projections of our wants, perhaps that could have something to do with it?

If dreams are based on our wants, I would have to say hell yes it could have something to do with it, but i thought dreams had more of a meaning to them?

There's many different thoughts on dreams, the two I'm most familiar with are Jung's and Freud's. The most basic dream in Freud's opinion is usually just a projection of our wants, which holds a lot of truth.

More in depth: dreams can often be our sub-conscious mind thinking rather abstractly so as to not allow our conscious minds biases to interfere and disallow it's thought process. In other words, we cannot directly think about some things, because our mind is biased (everyone's is) and would not allow us to think about them. To get around this we fabricate these often vivid (lucid) and apparently random (although they often have much meaning, as they are our thoughts regarding a situation, thing etc..) scenarios. It is in realizing the potential meaning of the various objects, times, settings etc...of the dream and how they correlate to "real life" that we are able to "interpret" them. Hence Freud's work "Interpretation of Dreams.' If you are truly curious enough to read about this, I highly recommend that work.

Also, since you say that you're in love now, it's probably on your mind and stressing you out, so it flows into your dreams.

You should do stakeouts, sit in your car with a pair of night vision goggles till dawn checking up on him that will win him back, and if you cant see him call him on the phone and hang up...you know just to make sure he's ok

I was on and off with a chick for a while and I noticed everytime we were 'off' (lol) I'd evnd up having dreams about her. Whenever we patched shit up and got back together, the dreams went away. It's most likely your wants being projected as dreams, at least it was in my case.

Yeah its probably residually going over from your waking thoughts.. I still have dreams of my ex sometimes, and its always me chasing her, trying to keep up with her, trying to find her, that kind of a thing. and Its been like 2 years now or something. I also had some of the strangest dreams ive ever had when I was with her too. If your ex was a really big part of your life, you might get dreams for years. If it was less than a year, give it like 2-3 months you wont even think about it anymore

Yeah its been a month or so and it wasnt until after he broke up with me that i realized i have strong ass feelings for him ahaha i couldnt say if he was a huge part of my life or not really, i mean we didnt go out for too long but every single day we hung out pretty much and i cared for him alott.

Maybe your dreams about chasing your ex would mean something like your trying to catch up to her standards or going after her cuz you want her or something? Im really not great at interpreting dreams i always read whut others write and say and im like wow how come i couldnt think of that XD

Its sure that your mind and hear needs him, but just let it as it is now for some more days if you are getting affected mentally more than now then you should definitely call him or let him know that how much he is important to you.
Dont loose your loved ones for your small problems, we will realize that when its too late.
    All the best :)
