The problem with a forum that is based on "random" thoughts is that we censor our thoughts, filtering them through our thought processes in order to arrive at something we consider "meaningful" in a group context, even if in a rather esoteric or bizarre sense of the word. If we were truly to pick "random" thoughts, then there would be no need to judge these thoughts as "worthwhile" or "useless". There would be no shortage of truly "random" thoughts, but perhaps we might not see them as worthy of discussion, or of making a thread. So, the root problem lies in the name of the forum, because there are only so many who would be willing to engage, on a regular basis, in discussions on a genuinely "random" basis. For instance, here's a random thought: "What do you feel is the proper role of the moon, in regulating our digestive cycle?" Not very attractive, eh? So, we try for something more attractive. Perhaps the forum should be called "random, yet still attractive thoughts, which stimulate interesting and long-lasting discussions". Otherwise, it will ebb and flow in popularity with the tides, and our digestive cycle. Interesting. In a way, it looks like the moon has an anus.
