have you ever brought home an animal when you was a kid, and said "can I keep it?" like a stray or a pet someone gave you.

I once got tooth fairy money and my mom didnt know i had it. I stopped at the pet store and bought a new hamster. I come home with a milk carton and the hamster, man was she pissed!! but I already had one, but it died :(and I wanted a new one.. :)
Then I brought home a ferret, but she liked that....
One time this dude had this husky dog and tied it to a fence and left it, but I had a dog.. But i saw him and I took the dog home, and I got a reward for finding it. I told the dummy dude he should of called the # on the tags..he was all mad cause I told him i got like 20bucks. that was alot of money then..

Snakes and frogs and turtles never bothered my parents. I used to always have a guinea pig. And once my guinea pig died on xmas morning. I stopped believing in jesus then.. :p

Yeah I kidnapped a chipmunk when I was in grade 2 when we were visiting Banff ... I put him in the pocket of my hooodie, y'know the ones that were called "kangaroo hoodies" with one pocket in the front... well I had him in the pocket and we were driving home out of the park. My dad didn't know about it and we were with my relatives from Europe I do rememeber that. I think they thought it was normal to take these animals or something.

Anyways it bit and scratched me up pretty good. I was determined to have it!

Sort of...once this guy was walking and had this really cute puppy with him and we asked if we could pet it and he just left it with us. We convinced some crazy teenage girls to take him a few days later, lol. And once another guy left this big dog with us and we called him Pal and we were going to keep him, but he followed me to school one day and ran away with the cross country team.

i would adopt dogs, rabbits, cats, birds, and more when i was a kid. my mom kinda just got used to it and dealt with it. i hid a rabbit upstairs in my room without her knowing for months, till i couldnt get it back in its cage and i was late for school, so i told her about it and asked her if she could put it back in the cage, it was pooping everywhere.

i used to keep turtles and salamanders for a few days if i found one. that's about the extent of it though.

more importantly, did you actually get this money from the tooth fairy herself? moms typically know about tooth fairy money somehow...

Yes. I was 18, we already had two cats (which we still have), and my co-worker at the coffee shop was trying to find a home for this kitten. It was about 3 months old already, very thin and scraggly, because it didnt have a secure home yet. I just consented to taking the cat home. My parents were a little peeved, but I kept the baby kitty Tucker in my room, he was SO SCARED at first. By the end of that summer, he had completely fattened up and warmed up to us all. Napped with our other cats. Followed me around like his mama. I LOVED IT! Unfortunately, was hit by a speeding car right outside our home in our private neighbourhood. I was at least happy that he had become happy and healthy before he passed.

oh when i was in kindergarten, the bus driver decided it was a good idea to give the kids a goldfish each as a christmas present. my brother or sister, i forget which, was also on the bus.

my parents had to go rush out and buy fishbowls and food for the fish, they were pretty pissed. but the fish lived for years :)

I bought this when I was 13. Little did my parents know it can live 30 years.

Hahaha, it's actually really funny how he just took off with them. My parents were trying to find him a new home anyway, he kept jumping the fence and our dog didn't like him much.

Oh hells yeah... Brought home critters from the swamp too, salamanders and frogs... Random dogs that followed me home. A cat or two. Loved to catch snakes...
I think they were more surprised when we'd go a spell without my brother or I bringing something home.
