Hey Mama Just thought I'd offer my space for crashing if you are taking I 15 through Utah it's about 1/2 way from MS to CA I'd say otherwise don't let me get in your way you'll have to go faaaaaast to make it in 2 or 3 days I'd suggest finding out which rest stops to stop at Dept. of Transportation web sites of the states you're going through. I did this on a cross country trip with a wee one and had a list of some I knew had playgrounds or trails so we could have a real rest right off the highway. Best of luck and please drive careful! Here's a great link (though playgrounds isn't on their list ) www.usroadconditions.com Becca
*diggin up the map* Aww...we're going too far south of there (I can't drive in snow). If it were a road trip instead of a marathon I'd come by that way anyway . They have playgrounds at some??? I've gotta check that out. ~love~
There isn't a simple answer, lol. I'm going as close to the way the crow flies while avoiding most of the mountains and major cities... Looking at Lousiana 10 to texas 7 texas 36 cutting up to New mexico 380 to I 60 to AZ 260 cuttin over to I 40 into cali then it's mostly 5 and 101 up to Eureka . I never could just hit I-10, lol .
Sounds like you'll be passing through Nacogdoches. You oughtta stop by the White Shack. Might even be some hippies there looking for a ride West, and they might even have money. If this is anywhere near Tres Piedras, there's quite a few Old Family living up on the Mesa.
