OK. I have only done shrooms a few times with old friends and was thinking of getting some myself for me and some new friends. Seeing as i live in the middle of nowhere in Missouri and milk cows for a living i can find tons of them.......I just have no clue WHAT Im looking for. I am very scared to kill myself over this so Im looking for some help......maybe someone out here can help and send some pics or a more educated person can lecture me. i do not know what is easyest. But ya....some help would be The Shit.
    Thank You All,
    :cheers2:

buy a mushroom identification guide and a small micro scope so you can measure spores. Read a ton about it and give it a go. Dont eat a large amount of anything you find until you know its not going to make you sick. I dont know much about field identification but i know it can be tricky and the consequences of failure can be death so be careful and good luck

Just so you know, you should be looking for Panaeolus Subbalteatus. Look up info on IDing those. They're not very strong, but they'll be free. Just please be careful. Pan Subbs are pretty easy to ID, but there's always risk.

^ I found some inactive (and relatively poisonous) Paneaolinas the other day. At first glance they looked like some Pann Subbs. Man, was I disappointed. :(

The only difference between them and Pann Subs was the lines on the stem were not curved and the spore print was not black. Nor did they bruise blue, but most Pann Subbs actually don't bruise blue. That is just my little note that minor details unnoticed can cause major problems. Be careful hunting.

dont be discouraged if you find pan foes instead of subbs. its a good sign.

posts like this pop up too often imo. seems damn near everypost in the mushroom forum is people asking how to get or grow mushrooms. i thought nesta's post that has been stickied covered quite a bit. if the post isnt about getting or growing its usually a question about what to expect. im not trying to be offensive to anyone, im just observing this forum

talk to me about aliens or somthing!!! lol
