Getting ready for company

When you know you have company coming in do you stress out? Do you run around cleaning every single crevice of your house? Do you try to make things perfect?

We have a friend coming in for the weekend from out of state and then a bunch of family coming in tomorrow to celebrate my honey's bday. I've been cleaning today but don't feel this need to have everything pristine.

My mother-in-law, to be, and my folks are like this but I just don't have it in me. I generally keep the place clean and very presentable. But bugging out on all the details causes stress that I just don't care to have.

Where do you fit into these categories?

 

I never have company besides the kids.

 

I have friends and other people coming in all the time, I hardly ever 'invite' people, they just show up or whatever. So no stress for me.

 

i keep the house nice., but i do have a four year old boy.... so i do pick up a bit when i know i have company coming.

 

Oh the uninvited ones know its all about getting what they get. Once a friend stopped by and saw my riding crop on the bed.....oops, forgot to put it away

do you vacuum and dust all the time?

 

usually every day. i hate vacuuming!

hell no, i don`t give a shit. let em come. my place stays just the way it is when there are no people at all. the presence of someone cant make me go around cleaning

 

I keep everything cleaned up. I dread tomorrow....instead of people coming to my place (thank god) I have to come back over here to my gramps' for my bday family dinner.
