Very true vig. I read quite some on Rastafari but didn't feel it was a fit for me. Did you feel a calling to it? How did you get introduced to it and feel it was a faith for you?

cm,i was just making fun of the original topic of the thread. i don't like the way it has gone so off-track.

daisy, i was introduced to rasta the way that many people in "babylon" are, through reggae music. shortly thereafter i started researching and i met many rastas. a lot of the beliefs such as jah living within everyOne (I an I), that jesus was a prophet but his teachings have been corrupted by babylon, i also believe haile selassie I was a prophet (some rasta believe he is god incarnate), i choose to cook Ital food, and use ganja as a sacrament. There is so much more to it, but those are just some things that I like about this way of life.

you can. especially if you are interested in learning more about this belief system. it's what i was hoping to do for this thread. but, people are way more interested in repeating what they think they know about rasta instead of being educated on the topic.

oh and i wanted to add this, it sums up what i've been trying to say this whole time
Without centralised organisation, any one definitive text, official buildings or a recognisable and ongoing office of leader the religion is difficult to categorise. This results in a wide variety of beliefs and practices coming under the general umbrella of Rastafarianism that often result from individual interpretations.

My evidence is direct quotes saying the bible has been proven wrong by science. Those are not my interpretations. DIRECT QUOTES with plain and simple ideas. You're just ignoring it and trying to say I am just expressing my opinion. And it is obvious you can't read because I did state 3 religions earlier. "Egyptians predate the Jews, The Mesopotamians predate them. The Chinese predate" was my quote.

But your so fuckin brainwashed that you aren't even reading what I am saying and just passing it off as my opinion when I did not once state my opinion in this thread.

Yeah I always find it funny when someone who has dreads wears all that stuff... Well unless they're actually Rastafarian.

When my hair finally locks I'm sure as hell not gonna look like a typical dreadlock person.
