Saying it sucks outside is a really good start, I've never gotten a false hit on it.

    mmm, nope.

You definitely don't know what you're talking about.

Stuff like the laser tag blast and the LTTO-TMB work wonderfully outdoors.

the TMB, with stock lenses can get 100 yard range in full sun.

Coastal gun emplacements, other abandoned military facilities, plus laser tag, minor capture the flag element.

    owns face.

And you only don't like it because you've used the wrong gear.

I could make a thread about target shooting, but when I talk about firing .50 calibur rifles that usually gets more angry hippies.

    exactly minor CTF.

LaserForce gives you, hit points, players who are medics, ammo, heavy weapons. field interaction ( targets and bots (that shoot back))

o and lets not forget a 24 players.....per side. though i think they have pushed that out even further.

LTTO has medics, field interaction, ammo, heavy weapons (TMB the most among those right now, but the LTX series <cross compatible with LTTO> is getting some new toys that will be even heavier) as many players per team as you can find, and equip (up to 99 total players) three teams, zones, respawns, of course the hit points.

and, a nice wide variety of settings to play with, that is getting wider as the days progress (as soon as a patent goes through, more info on the LTX's serial port is going to be released by the guy who designed them)

AND they work great outside, or inside.

    and it's consumer level gear.

    another problem there.

consumer mods . the amoumt of shit you hear after a game gets annoying after awhile.

200 feet aint all that great you know.

300 feet, and most commercial laser tag facilities don't have straightaways that long.

and what shit you hear after a game? the debriefing on LTTO gear takes less than 30 seconds if everyone gets back to base, and, if they don't, no biggie unless it's a tournament

if it is, put a keyswitch on all your taggers, which should be there anyway, but, that's not a casual thing. (I don't think it's worth it to keyswitch my taggers, I can, could do it for fifty cents a tagger, it's just not worth it)

    consumer mods are awesome

been playing with the optics for a rifle (I've gotten 900 yards, I can do better) using the casing from a "shot blast" and some PVC pipe (and some finished lenses I ordered from an optical supply place (CR39, with AR coating, buck fifty each, great deal.)

whole thing slides on the same way the shot blast did, and "loads" a pair of sniper shots (again, the way the shot blast did) and fires, at the same time the regular barrel fires.

need to line the PVC with mylar.

Theres a reason the system isnt sold here.

Consumer Mods = the bitching after games about people using mods. and it is a biggie due to point 2

LaserForce: Still rules the laser tag world here. the bitching just pushes players to it. so no ltx for Au.

I dont knock the mods in themself. they are fine. but its like anything else. once somebody finds a gain that puts them ahead...you get shit. and thats why the outdoor scene sucks ass. its too dam hard to keep a team together.

I think there's some international enviro/social issues here we seem to be missing eachother on.
