Resin smoking

What do you use to scrape resin? I can't seem to figure out what to use for my pipe.

 

uh i use bobby pins mostly. they work really well so do paperclips depending on how much resin is in yer pipe. but the easiest thing to do is soke it in isotopic alcohol and then light the resin on fire and burn out all the alcohol then you're left with all the resin. or at least that's what my friend tells me works for him. i haven't tried it tho. hope this helps man. good luck and keep blazin!

 

Kush, soaking in alcohol is good but you don't want to light it on fire. Let it evaporate into the air and you will have a nice bit of resin left. If you are in a hurry you can cook it on the stove on low but do not use around an open flame.

 

i boil mine. then shove a straw through it.

i got like a nickel sized ball of resin last time i did it.

nothing else seems to work cause there are all these hidden nooks and crannies haha

 

I use paperclips.
Like i unfold them into a straight wire. They work wonders.

 

My friend microwaves his in rubbing alcohol. It gets his pipe really clean.

I use to use this special razor blade I took from my mom's art supplies. The blade was a small right triangle razor and it was perfect for scraping the top layer of resin off the bowl. I threw this tool away after I cut myself with it =/. Now sadly I am back to just taking regular resin hits. Scraping resin with a paperclip isn't worth the trouble anymore for me.

I always have bobby pins in my hair and my pockets for different reasons, they always come in handy. I use those to scrape a bowl in a pinch.

 

Get some grunge off and soak your piece in that for an hour or so. Remove it from the GO, wash it and you're golden. If you can't find GO, put iso+salt in a ziploc bag and shake it around for a little.

lol @ burning the alcohol, that's one i haven't heard before.

if you're looking to get the resin off in order to smoke it, use a paperclip with some rolling paper wrapped around it, or something similar - something that you can smoke and wipe resin off with. just a paperclip can often turn into a mess.

if you're looking to clean it, it's very easy: simply buy some rubbing alcohol (like 5 bucks or less), put it in a tupperware you don't particularly want, leave your pipe in overnight, and in the morning run some water through it and a pipecleaner. it will be totally brand-spanking-new clean. these guys apparently have ways to smoke that resin but honestly, i wouldn't bother. don't clean your pipe this way unless you're planning to travel, really.

 

My suggestion was for cleaning btw.

 

1st off, resin is the trichromes/crystals that hang off the buds. IT IS NOT the black gunk that collects in your pipe/bowl/bong, that stuff is tar and left over crap from the burning plant matter that you DON'T want in your lungs. Next, I use either Dragon Piss or Orange Chronic to clean my piece with (you can get both from www.vaporstore.com under their cleaners section). Both will clean your glass piece in about 2-3 mins effortlessly, but I've found that Dragon Piss is slightly better (not by much though!). Pour it in, shake it around, rinse with hot tap water, done. The piece will look brand new.

 

off topic--my Gf hadda bong that was covered in resin---young hippie comes over-second generation- asked if he could drink the bong water--shit was nasty--im like sure dude drink up, thinking he was joking---fucker drank it raw--then put boiling water in it shook it up with paperclips, then drank that too-said the high was great--god knows how unsafe or what mold was in there---but i told id save him the bong water everytime------he was excited--only came over every other month or so drank it everytime----and damn he got wasted everytime--this was a dealers bong water was almost black with hella lotta floaties--wow-----again sorry for the off topic
