We are in a time right now that is perfect for hippies, i mean, the economy is in the shitter, the man is trying to make salvia illegal, and everyone is going crazY!?! Why aren't we protesting the hell out of it??!!?!?!?
when the internet ends where will we be? man has made it seem that the more one sits and types the more good one is doing, there is less and less motivation to visit the outdoors each day. soon as once video games were a rare thing experienced by few i fear perhaps the joys of birds and trees will be as well
As much as I don't like the idea of an other hippie movement (pee-yew!), I sort of agree with this. Only for the reason that Salvia has been used for many many years by indigenous peoples for ritual purposes, and that it should remain legal or at least legal for that use (like Ayahuasca and Peyote). I don't even understand why it should be made illegal if the Canadian government cannot find any REAL health risks associated with it, and most people that are thrill or party seeking don't like it anyways...
And yet no action works. Maybe when we truly realize that nothing we have been doing has worked, something that actually DOES work will be created on its own. I think Buddha might have known something similar.
Look at what wall street became. People don't even know how to protest properly anymore. It's pathetic.
Time's changed...people don't protest anymore, but when they do, they get nothing out of it for the most part.
