You are considered a 'guest' at this point,
you have to wait for that.

You've been talking to him then?
You seemed to have picked up his native tongue.
(*and note to SE if you stumble by- Love ya man!)

What this '1/2 box' business you speak of?

Yo, is it just me or is that picture so dark you can't see a dang thing? Also, the best way to find out how many you'll end up with is to section it out and count that shit. But why backcomb?... are you in a hurry or sumpin? just keep your hair clean... hit the beach if you live close, let it do its thing... I'm sure your hair will make "nice" dreads (whatever those are)

    Hey, me too!
I thought I was just a bit squinty.

    Luscious hair though, super thick.
    Should dread nicely...

well i thank u for that and yes my bathroom is very dark lol umm i would like to get my dreads before school which is roughly 3 weeks away and from what ive read back combing suits my taste on looks very much,or so i think imma take that road, however is there a way to prep for dreads if i want them "done" or "did" if your black, and if imma section it i might as well backcomb anyway right?

Thank You, u know how to make me blush(or my hair rather)

I was not suggesting that you section and then not backcomb... merely that backcombing is unnecessary, but whatever it's your journey and if you want to pay for or be given dreads instead earning them it's all good...

To me, backcombing is sectioning, and letting the natural process of dreading start a little bit neater. It gives the look of dreads instantly (to the non-dreaded eye)

...That last phrase makes me want to have dreaded eye lashes.

His eye lashes used to freak me out.

Anyway, wow! I really thought that pic was like a School Photo or something, or a Glamour shot! (Which is why I was wondering why you were making a silly face!)

No offense if you aren't actually making a face, and it is just how you look....
Like you were making that face as a kid and got slapped in the back.... 'it'll stick like that, ya know'.

Hm....I do see a bit of fuzzyness to it....
But it isn't radiating green fume squiggles, it must not be dirty.
Or at least not as dirty as mine...:ack2:

Anyway! Though I appreciate the complements and what not,
I am afraid to say I cannot offer any further advice on the subject..(well, the only advice I could give in the first place is 'let it be'...but hey, sometimes that works)

Because! I know nothing of these 'tidy' locks...My specialty for advice is targeted at dreadlocks that scream 'dirty hippie'.

    It is all I know!

I have only seen dreads like that in real life once (well no, on one person, a few times. Always at the beach, this guy.)

    (Oh, and Subway once!)

(The sub shop, not an actual subway.)

(Are you the one from 'SunShine State' or something? If so, you unna-staan)

(That was supposed to be 'understand')

    (I need sleep)

Anyway, you will probably be disappointment if you set your expectations so high...Those looked to be years in the making, and waxy too.

    What one?
    Whachutalkin' bout?

    Anyway,
Work?! I laugh at the thought!
I am in high school brah.
for your information, I slept about an hour in the last 30!
No, I woke up at 8am yesterday, and got home at 11pm, then attempted to sleep at 3am, but woke up at 5am, and then laid there until 7am and got up and baby sat today. Ever tell you how much I hate kids?
Well, now you know. I have been working on several paintings lately, and I am the type of person who gets a spark of creativity for about a week, and then it is gone for a year...so I am using it while I've got it!

    TAMPA!?
Damn, I just moved from Tampa. I love it there. Now I live in Hick Town.
    Ever Heard of High Springs?

    Didn't think so.

I don't think that will happen for a long while, definitely nowhere near 3 weeks - maybe closer to 3 years?

    Buy a wig.
