my friend needs a scale

last night my friend asked me if i wanted to front $10 for 1.5gs. I said sure, thinking i'd get 1.5gs for $10 but i guess he threw in $10 too because he split what he got in half. But anyway, i had a container of leftover bud from a gram i bought, and threw in my half of the dub into the container. My friend packed a bowl and we smoked it and then i decided to pack another bowl because he always smokes me up. anyway, i went home and decided to weigh what i had, figuring it would be at least a gram or so. but i weighed it and it came out to barely half a gram, and i could see the difference between the bud i had just got and the bud i had before and what i had gotten for the $10 was like .2gs, and im thinking the total weight of the dub was probably less than a gram.

a while back i was planning on buying half an ounce and i told my friend i was bringing a scale and he was all like "fuck that, i dont need a scale, just eye it out"... but obviously my friend is getting shorted... i bought from one of his dealers earlier this week and he was buying 8 grams, and we weighed it out still in the bag and everything and it was 7.5. how do i tell my friend that he should get a scale without pissing him off though? cause i mean, im buying through him so i guess its his fault im getting shorted, cause hes getting shorted... and im kinda pissed that i wasted $10 on like nothing... how should i tell him though? like should i tell him im pissed or should i just start bringing a scale whenever i buy from him or should i tell him that he should get one?

well hes like my friend, and hes ALWAYS around so its easy to buy from him, and hes not really a dealer i just go with him to wherever hes buying from. but yeah i didnt think to bring a scale this time since i thought i was getting 1.5gs for $10 so if it turned out to be short i wouldnt have cared since thats a good deal around here. i'm definitely going to start carrying one all the time though.

 

1.5gs for 20 is not good in the first place. unless its ridic good weed, check

Have you thought that maybe your "friend" doesnt want to use a scale so he can short you.

i know - it prolly sounded like that - which isnt bad price

but you paid 10 for .75 and got less than THAT.
either your friend is getting ripped or your friend is ripping you...you need to tell him, only way to find out is to confront him about it


another thing check, whenever you buy weed like X amount of dollars worth, you will always be shorted. seriously. if you are buying and are limited by the amount you spend, make sure you call it a dime. and make sure if you buy a 'dub' (dont know if anyone sells dubs around you) make sure it is WORTH the 20 you spend. i always ask the price of a quarter/eighth before asking a dime - that way i know around how much you should be getting

 

i always got my scale on me when i go to buy bud. ALWAYS. i've needed it everytime, too. and $20 for 1.5 is a good deal for dank, which i assume is what you're getting. at least here it is. its not a good deal for a short sack though..

 

yeah i know. its just really annoying how NO ONE around here carries a scale, like the dealers around here never weigh anything out they just eyeball it and everything. and even all my friends and stuff just trust people, no one has scales its so dumb.

 

if you were getting good ass prices for whatever weight you buy, it wouldnt be a problem not having a scale. it seems you are getting ripped off on normal prices (which means its still expensive - at least for me)...CARRY YOUR SCALE if this is the case

i get pretty good prices so i usually dont worry about having my own scale. i buy from my friends too, so im not too worried about them dickin me

 

it sounds like your getting screwed, I aways get from my dad or my sister b/f so I know I am not getting ripped off

 

I hate carrying a scale on me though. If you get busted with a scale you're likely to get charged with intent to distribute.

 

dude if i was your friend, and you told me i was getting shorted, and showed me, i would not be pissed off, first thing i would do is smoke a bowl with you and give you a god damn hug and say thank you for making me realize that people have been shorting me, then id go out and buy a nice digi scale

I once got a bag of nuggets that looked like a straight eighth, but when weighed out, it only weighed to 1.5. luckily I had a scale on me when I bought it, and my guy threw in the other 2 grams. I cant say that he was really trying to rip me off, he just eye-balled out an eighth and sold it to me, and I defiantly would have bought it if I didnt have a scale.

scales are very handy.

 

in the greater philly area if you're getting 1.5 of dank, 20 is a good price.
