The only time I'll argue is when someone has the wrong idea of what I'm trying to say. And that's not really arguing, although most people think I'm trying to dance around the actual subject, I'm probably trying to say that we more or less agree. If I don't agree with what you're saying, and vise versa, it doesn't matter to me. It's life, it's how it goes, and I prefer it that way.
I am a pretty laid-back person, I dont get riled up too easily. I guess the people I argue with the most are friends; though we argue mostly about bullshit subject's, and we arent really meaning to come across as sounding bitchy. Just the other week I was arguing with a friend over why peanutbutter doesn't taste good vs. why it does taste good. My dad's side of the family is Italian. So they believe that if you dont have a cup of tea and some sort of baked good in front of you, you're probably starving. I like to sit there, with my little cup of tea, refusing to eat whatever snack they've put in front of me, just 'cause I can. If someone says I 'should' do something, or waves their hands on front of my face repeating the word's "mangia, mangia!" I just wont.
I used to argue much more when I was younger.. now.. I just can have a discussion. But arguing over what's right and what's wrong is a complete waste of time. Nothing is right or wrong - they're opinions, pov's. OR - if I happen to be right about something and know it for fact - the person in front of me is arguing the contrary, if they're an idiot.. I won't bother. But I will argue with someone intelligent.. well.. have a discussion.. heated, maybe.
I forgot, I only argue adamantly when I'm certain I'm right. I stick to my guns when I know I'm right. If I'm not sure, I back off easily.
I voice my opinion a lot, but I don't like arguments. They go nowhere because people who argue think that they are right, when in fact they are only right by their own standards. Truth is relative.
i argue, but i let them get a word in. but honestly, if i know im wrong, or even have a hunch im wrong, i'll go with the flow.
No, I can't say I really argue much at all. *shrugs* However... The most I probably argue is with my oldest son, who is going on 10 years old. This is a near daily conversation around my house, I swear! Me: "Don't do that." "But I didn't!" "Yes you did." "Nuh-uh, I didn't!" "Okay, I just saw you do it. So did your brother and your sister. Are you trying to say that we're all lying?" "Nobody ever believes me!" *stomps up steps...slams doors*
I'm pretty laid back most of the time. If I argue it's usually if I'm being falsely accused, or getting yelled at for no reason.
