I finally told my parents today that I have a girlfriend, and that i'm bi. It wasn't the best of ways - it was an arguement - but afterwards felt alot better and my fears of being disowned and being an embarrasment have been put aside and my parents accept me. So I feel much better Sorry if this seems totally pointless but I'm really pleased and wanted to share it.
Thats nice, but you'll have to go back in the closet once every other girl around your age gets too horny / frustrated Still its good to be able to say it out loud for a couple of years
Congratulations! Good for you for standing your ground and being proud of who you are. Good luck with everything. ^_^
Good for you, Hipgirl! From all my experience, parents react the worst ALWAYS the first time you tell them, meaning that each time it comes up from now on it will be easier and easier - in general.
Well done. Nice to know someone feels a newly found liberation within themselves. It's hideous having to hide such a large part of ones self. And hell sounds good to me, probably the furthest away I can get from all the bastards who constantly condemn me. Heaven would be mighty boring, take away the sinners, what the heck would God and his disciples have left to talk and moan about?
Congratulations!!! Sorry things didn't go perfectly for you, but at least you said your biggest fears did not happen, and I hope that it helps and strengthens your relationship with them!
