Agreed No religion is perfect, and people can do/think some very bizzare things as a result. That is not an excuse to promote such stupidity and intollerance. It's all the karma. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Whilst I shall never be Christian* I can be totally respectful and tolerant those who are. How else could I expect the same courtesy#. *After much thought have concluded it's just not for me. #I'm pagan and a student of history ... I know how bad it can get.
I'm not even going to go to it cause most of my friends are devout Christians of varying denominations... From the other responses, i can tell it wans't good, what if i posted a site making fun of black people, or arabs, i would be tarreda nd feathered....it's still a form of racism....
Well said, Burbot. How immature. Just because you may disagree with Christianity, it doesn't mean you have to go around being an ass and "putting down christians." Not all Christians are intolerant unintelligent conservatives, etc (whatever other ways you probably stereotype them).
Why, thank you dear. Yes, I have quite a few close friends who are pretty hardcore Christians, two of which are very liberal and open minded. Although I must say I disagree with most of their beliefs I can still respect them as people. Man, It's really been driving me crazy lately hearing so many people bashing Christians. You can't preach tolerance and then discriminate! Everyone has a right to their own personal beliefs and morals. Even if you disagree, that doesn't mean that they are ignorant idiots, try not to be a hypocrite. Live and let live.. the world would sure as hell be a better place that way.
My christian friends are fairly Liberal too, though they still don't understnd gays, but w/e, thats they opinion....but ya, most Christians are quite kind, loving people...Just about all of my friend don't support the war in iraq and think bush is a major wall in on the road to world peace... Remember, when you point a finger, you've got 3 more pointing back at you...
Easy_Cure has obviously been exposed to some very bad Christians. I must admit that all the Christians I know (except for one) are total closed minded idiots. All the others ones have did worse things to me than post an agnostic-bashing site on some forum. As long as Easy_Cure isn't going to church to "bash" all the Christians, than I don't see a problem with it. Personally, I'd never put down someone about their religion unless they did the same to me (yea, i know, still not a good reason), at least not to their face anyway. But yes, that's beside the point, it is a very informative site. One sided I suppose, but true at least. Cheers.
