Good stuff!! I like off beat cymbal crashes! I also like to play them on the open hi-hat, then close in synch with the next note played with your hands. Also, I like transferring the ride pattern to the floor tom, and mixing up where the back beat is placed, or transferring the left hand pattern round the toms. Poly-ryhthms sound good over a 4/4 triplet time too.
