Anyone know of some cheap beach campsites in these states?

Anyone want to join me on a trip? :) Lookin to go for a couple days within the next few weeks before I have a job and then again in August.

Can't speak to NJ. Delaware has a great place called Henlopen State Park, just across the bay from Cape May in Lewes, DE. I was there all last weekend for Solstice. Not too expensive, I think $30 per night.

In MD, I don't know of any beach campsites on the ocean. I can steer you to a nice place on the lower Potomac where you can stealth camp. Or you can always hike up the AT a few miles out of Harper's Ferry and camp and explore along the MD/PA line.

    DazedGypsy:

Assateague Island in Maryland. Pretty close to Ocean City MD. It's 20$ per night, with a 15$ act. fee. It was really nice, calm, and relaxing. The only problem is the mosquitoes!!! they're pretty bad but as long as you aren't around the trees you're usually good. if it does strike your interest, choose Oceanside. NOT bayside!!! you'll be asking to get bit up!

Last month I camped at both Henlopen and Assateague, indeed they are both great places! Plus lots of horses/ponies on Assateague!

Yeah the ponies were great! A deer came up to our campsite for one night during dinner... and she got some grilled cheese, even though that really isn't allowed. she loved it!! :]
