  1. I wonder if going barefoot (over time, that is) can lead to feet perspiring less (the feet being wholly exposed and air-dried).
    I never (what, never? hardly ever) had foot odor/perspiration problems. The rest of me, however.....

    The query came from another daily barefooter who also had the same minimal concern about perspiration.

    Mine do seem to sweat a bit more in shoes. I guess they are kept cooler barefoot through air movement as we walk.

    I do notice my feet sweating when it's hot and I'm barefoot. But the sweat evaporates straight off and no smell builds up, which is of course what's supposed to happen. I only notice the sweat building up when I'm sat still and not walking around, but I definitely do feel it. It just makes me even more relieved not to have my feet covered up, as I know that even with open sandals or flip flops, if my soles can't breathe I'll get hot, sweaty and smelly.

    In Thailand, it's considered unclean to wear shoes for this very reason.
