Is there really much difference between Paintshop Pro and Adobe Photoshop? In classes they always refer to "Photoshopping" images, but when I tried that program in high school, I didn't like it as much as Paintshop. They both seem to do the same things, but I got a little nervous about if one was more accepted professionally or if one really did more than the other.
PaintShop Pro is a very good program, very easy to use (and a nice low price to match), but in comparason to the tools available to in PhotoShop, it's not very powerful. The problem with PhotoShop is that it costs a hell of a lot more and is very confusing to use (at least for me, it just scares the pants off of me). But if you know how to use it, it's a hell of a lot more powerful, and allowes you to do so much more. That's why image editing in films, etc... is refererd to as "photoshopping" and not "paintshopping"
Yeah, even trying to move a selection was confusing in photoshop. Not having taken Electronic Imaging yet, I don't even know how to use all that crap in Paintshop either, so I'm not too worried yet. Well, at least anything's better than Microsoft Paint... <shudder>
Corel Photopaint beats both of 'em! Of coarse it's extremely expensive and used for more professional works...not many people know the program due to those reasons.... I own it...I own photoshop too....although I don't use photshop that often...
GIMP all the way!! Actually I prefer Photoshop (cause it's the best! ) but it doesn't run on linux... Paintshop pro is okay too, not bad at all for the price... Never used photo paint, but I hear it's alright, similar the photoshop but not quite as good... I thought it was cheaper than photoshop?
I have photoshop 8.0 but to be honest with all my photoshopping i doubt i ever use it to its full extent
It comes in a bundle. Actually, It's called Corel Draw Graphics Suite. It's more of an extra program in the Corel package. In a Combo with Corel Draw, Corel Photopaint's unbeatable! The thing it *doesn't* have, but photoshop does, are the plugins. It's a HUGE Program too ( together with Corel Draw it uses up 3 CDs.) .it doesn't really need plugins, it's got enough features without plugins. It's more of a Photoshop/paintshop pro hybrid. Yes it's waaayy cheaper then Photoshop: Corel Draw/Photopaint: $400 Photoshop: $600 About two thirds of the price, and just as good (if not better) performance! But still REALLY expensive... If you use linux, try Photopaint. It works on it. I don't know if Paintshop pro works on it though....does it??
Um, I downloaded Photoshop 7.0 with its serial number (shhh, dont tell anyone) then i burnt it off for some of my friends to use. oh and i use the site www.good-tutorials.com. it tells you how to do everything. Its kool, i love photoshop.
umm does anyone know where i can get a working version of photoshop cs.... i dont feel like buying it
