Bug Man Unbanned

I've unbanned Bug Man's original account. I've allowed him to return under the condition that he does not post inflamatory comments, does not make personal attacks, troll and specifically does not attack Dok. This is the only way I could see for a peaceful solution to this issue. I would ask everyone to please honour this agreement, and not to attack Bug Man either, for the sake of forum getting back to a peacful place for meaningful debate that we can all enjoy....

 

I can't believe you gave in to him.... maybe we should start letting rapists out of jail too... that would make the world a better place.

All you've done is shown that you can break the rules, and get away with it... it's not on.

so if you hound the site, get banned under multiple names, harrass people time after time, you can get you original name back.

I don't quite get it, except I can imagine it being frustrating having to ban someone 3 times a day though.

 

Thank you Peace Phoenix. Just a little heads up though; I could not use Bug_Man with the underscore. I had to register as Bug*Man instead. Can I still correct this? Thanks anyway either way.

 

What would you prefer? He'd only keep coming back, and purposefully flame the forum. I know I wouldn't want to see that, things would just get worse. This isn't about brinkmanship, it's about diplomacy. It's the least-bad option that I could see. Pragmatism is sometimes better than principles (never thought I'd say that! )....

 

The Bug_Man account is no longer banned, I'm not sure why you can't use it. Let's have a new start....

He just broke forum rules... he didn't break a law... (actually, maybe harrassment... which can get up to 5 years)... but anyway... it's done now....

I like you, so I don't want to get into an argument with you, but I must make it very clear that I was not calling bugman a rapist.

Rapists break a set of rules called the law.... bugman breaks a set of rules called the forums posting guidelines, they both break the rules... That was the only comparason I was making.

I know all about this forum's software, and it's powers... if you REALLY wanted to ban him, you'd be able to using his IP address, along with a whole number of diffrent tricks... but you choose to give in...

I'm hoping you'll find Bug Man sticks to the rules now. Agreements aren't one sided.

Sorry Bug Man, I don't know why you can't access your old account, it's not banned anymore. You could ask Skip, but he's AWOL at the moment, you'll have to wait till he gets back online in a couple of weeks....
