I wasn't fond of the Smithsonian. The husband loved it though.

This is a picture I took at the Smithsonian:

I think that could have been a better experience for me. I got lost with my ex and didn't have a phone.. then my friend who I had lost forever couldn't reach him when I finally found him.. panic attack.. well after that pic I took during the just-try-to-enjoy-your-time-alone phase.

I really like the Met.. still haven't been to MoMa which is almost inexcusable for someone living 20 mins away from NYC 80% of the time of the year. I really wanna go soon.

Hermitage, but I did get stuck in the Louvre for two days.

I'm going to this underwater aquarium museum tomorrow, should be fancy.

the miniature doll kind? I think those are awesome... with the tiny furniture and precise detailing.

    Underwater aquariums sounds cool.

I think the only museum I've ever really been to was one in Indiana, the Eiteljorg Museum.... it was really neat.

OH, and they had a childrens museum, but nothing that spectacular. The only two things I remember there was the tunnel that looked like you were climing around underground and the miniture dolls house displays... my favoirte was the science part... I think it was called the science works... but yea, the tunnel was the only thing I really remember 15 years later.

The British Museum, I'm in awe of that place. Tate Modern is pretty cool too. And the Natural History Museum. Those are all in London.

Also, Salvador Dali museum in Figueres, Spain, is pretty impressive.

I like science museums that let adults play with their exhibits, too. We have a pretty cool science museum in Amarillo, but it's pretty small and half of it you have to be under like 3 feet tall to enter. If only I was a midget. :(

The best museum I have ever been to is the Natural history museum in London,so many things to look at but I swear you need longer than a day there.
They have every different rock and mineral imaginable and also a piece of the moon in a glass case.
I loved seeing the fossils and dinosaur bones mostly there is a massive section dedicated to it,it was really really busy when I went but I thought it would be kinda cool to go there at night with low lights so the dinosaurs make shadows and stuff, and on your own and really soak it all up instead of being stuck in long queues with lots of crying kids about.
I do have one grumble about the place tho, I ate my dinner there and the bastards charged my £9.50 for a slice of quiche and some rotton salad!!

I don't like museums. I hold them responsible for a terrible date I had a couple years ago with this Peruvian chick. Oh yeah, and fuck abstract sculpture! :D

I despise "cultural" consumption in any form. It's a bourgeois excuse for conspicuous consumption, but no different than buying cosmetics IMO. Books and cosmetics: THE SAME!

I worry about him sometimes.

I too am in awe of The British Museum.

I also like the tiny museum where I live.
It takes three minutes to see everthing...they diverted a whole road so it didn't have to be demolished and it hasn't really had an update in about 10 years...but, yeah...I still like it.

The Magazine Gateway is located at the western end of Newarke Street. The building, circa 1410, is a mediaeval gateway added to Leicester Castle by the Third Earl of Leicester. It is a Grade I Listed Building, and is not within a Conservation Area. It is officially included within the Leicester Castle monument, but is on a detached site.

I'm going to go with everybody else and say London's Natural History Museum, I was completely blown away by it. I can't believe I saw the Rosetta Stone!
