Does it annoy anyone else when other people assume that vegetarian food is just for vegetarians? if it's suitable for vegetarians, then only vegetarians can eat it appears to be the line of thought they're following. Has anyone told these dolts that it isn't just vegetarianis who can enjoy vegetarian food?
yeah i know what you mean. its really annoying when you make some food that's vegetarian and people refuse to eat it because it has no meat in it. like it's going to be harmful to them or something. there's hope though! i had this friend who for a while wouldn't eat anything but meat. (we went out to subway once and his sub was literally bread with chicken on it) and now he's become veggi! i'm so proud of him
i've used that argument at home when i cook for the rest of my family. it i suitible for them even if there isn't meat and blood in it.
If you think about it, anything but meat* is vegetarian food, so I really don't get that way of thinking. *I'm well aware there are some other exceptions, but you get the idea.
I never met anyone like that... I can't imagine that some people don't eat cheese pizza, chips, spaghetti w/ tomato/cheese sauce, minestrone...etc. It just seems so....weird!
I'm not vegetarian out of the fact that most vegetables make me feel sick (sad ... but true) but most people eat veg daily ... doesn't mean they're vegetarian. I think it's just people abusing stereotyping, as many people do. Damn people!
I find it weird, because many omnis will complain that vegetarians have a "childish" attitude, where they say "Eugh, I won't eat that, it's got dead aniamls in" but i find this to be a double standard, because it is thes epeople who will usually have the "Eugh, I won't eat that, it's not got dead animals in" kind of attitude. It's a crazy world. A very crazy world, indeed.
I actually find it more annoying when all the meat eaters declare they absolutely do not want any of the vegetarian food at all, and won't put in any money for it, so you get just enough for yourself. Then, of course, they all have to try it without even thinking you won't be left with any.
The next time I hear a meat-eater whine about having to have food with no meat in it, I'm gonna server 'em ice cream for desert, and make sure I mix it up with minced beef just so they feel good about it. And if they don't like it, I'm gonna kneel on their chest and force it down their throat one spoon at a fucking time.
Hell yeh! I went to a camp / bbq last year with a group of meat eating friends and they did that grrr I;d taken just enough veggie burgers etc for me, yet they all wanted to try one and I was left with one burger for the entire weekend.... had to go get some cheese and bread from the camp shop and live off that. If meat eaters hate veggie food so much... why do they always want to eat it when it's available?
Well, I suppose its better than nothing... except for whoever's getting screwed out of a meal. If they wanna try new foods so badly, maybe that glimmer of openness will persist in the future.
Howling with laughter at the visual, share the love, bro! What if we called it... food? that would assume critter bits aren't.
im a meat eater, i eat fish, but say 5 out of 7 days a week im eating only veg, fruit and grains. I do it mainly for health. But ill tell you something, after having 5 days of staying off meat and then having some fish, the fish is getting harder and harder to stomach, probably because my body is not used to having to deal with it often. I try and eat mainly raw foods anyway, they give you SO much energy, its just sometimes fruit and veg doesnt fill you up as much as fish does. But i have lots of respect for all you veggies, your making the world a better place www.living-foods.com
You are morphing into one of us, Beautiful Day! I give props to anyone who is conscious of what they consume... in food or matrials.
