Wisdom teeth are coming in, and are painful as fuck. Im getting an appointment to have them x rayed, and removed, and what Im wondering is, will my doctor be a douche and Ill have to suffer, or will they actually help me for once with something (other than telling me to take aspirin, tylenol,... which generally doesnt work for me for anything, let alone Ive never really had any kind of surgery)?

They'll probably give you Vicodin. That's what I got, and most people I know get it for wisdom teeth removal.

I got the lowest strength percs, they were useless. I used T3's I had from another operation and they worked magic.

if they're impacted, you'll probably get better than tylenol 3s.

my friend got 7.5 vikes, and none of his were impacted. i'd bet on that, it seems to be the standard.

good luck with the surgery, hope all goes well.

Don't worry about the surgery. Its sucks for about a week cause your mouth is all swollen and bleeding but its not anything real severe.

Wtf i didn't get any perscription at all! The oral surgeon just said otc stuff should work. Did absolutely nothing, the dick! I suppose mine werent impacted though.

there is no way to tell you.

as for the procedure, they may knock you out, they may not.

they will probably give you medication, but again this is up to the doctor and you may have to do without or they may give you a scrip for strong ibuprofen or apap or something.

most likely you'll get a mild opioid, but there is NO gaurantee.

i knew a guy who had his taken out when he was in the army. they didn't put him under and didn't give him painkillers.

when i had mine out i was put under and i got painkillers. i forget which. it was like 7.5mg hydrocodone though coupled with a lot of APAP.

another guy i know so quickly rebounded from his surgery he went to the club that night. i ached for about 3 days, then it was fine. i know others who have been miserable for a week, even with painkillers.

    just hope for the best.
