Pat's thread, which is now apparently the meat thread, made me want to do a poll. How many people here restrict their diets for moral or whatever reasons? I am a vegetarian but I occasionally eat fish if it's sustainable harvested. So technically I am a pescatarian. Ok. what about you?
carnivore I need protein and I like the taste of meat and i dont want to eat a million nuts to get my basic protein needs
Do to my cheapness and lack of income, I eat that fake-meat substances found in 49cent pot pies and burritos. That is about all, since I've gone to live with my Pa. He doesn't cook, or buy food for me to cook, so a can of peas every few days is my vegetable intake. Eh. That isn't very good eating at all... I preferred it when most of my meals were vegan ('cuz my brutha man always cooked) because I got a lot of variety, and I also miss my Ma's ex Boyfriend because he was a monster cook.... I'd give anything for him to cook me up a moo'in rare steak. So my answer is I eat whatever falls onto my plate because I don't have much more.
I accidentally did omnivore because I'm drunk. I meant vegetarian though very rarely (once or twice a year) I'll eat meat from animals I shot myself. Pat, I very much doubt your claim to be a true carnivore because I don't think you are an eskimo and I believe you eat plant matter sometimes. Surely you drink something other than blood and water.
does anyone ever eat raw meat? I eat raw beef. I know chicken and pork aren't safe so I never tried them raw. But raw beef is the delicious
obviously noone is a true carnivore. just liek your a veggie who eats meat occassionally. over 75% (probly higher) of my diet is meat jsut trying to be a douche again eh
vegatarian 25 or more years pat would be a carnivore.. he acts agressive and assholish like they tend to
some veggies never ever eat meat. hard for you to comprehend? I eat raw fish and have had raw beef before, but I quit eating beef years ago.
vegetarian (do i need to add i never eat meat?), aiming to be vegan when im more responsible for whats in my fridge
I think I would try to go vegan if I didn't have to feed my bf too.... I do really like cheese, though, and I eat eggs.
I love vegetarian dishes, and would probably be one, if it weren't for steak and pulled pork.. and sausage, burgers, all chicken, and sushi. I also love to cook all of the food that I consume. I believe that eating healthy = eating delicious home cooked meals made from fresh ingredients. pat - apparently, in japan, you can get some rare cooked chicken. I guess since they kill it in the spot and you are eating it within minutes of its death, there is less risk of salmonella.
Makes sense I wonder how they prepare/flavour it. Raw chicken doesn't smell taht great normally. I want to try it
Um... can you make it multiple choice??lol LOL. I am MOSTLY lacto-ovo vegetarian,I have been veg for YEARS- since I was 11 or so -I never liked the taste of most meats, my parents made me eat it until then.. hmm so do I pick that? --but the last few years I have developed a egg intolerance and try to consume less dairy..still not quite vegan, but close...Hmm still lacto ovo? also, this year hubby started working at a fish taco stand...I finally found a fish I could eat and that was good - and didn't smell terrible. ! so, am i pecatarian now? I guess sort of ,huh. - or just "other". It's only weird cause I guess I hadn't thought of it in a long time. when someone asks I just say veggie.
When they cook the chicken rare on a grill.. not sure what they season it with. I can't really imagine raw chicken being very tasty, but I'd like to try it too. the other way they serve it is sashimi style.. just sliced up and completely raw.
When I used to prepare raw chicken it looked very appetizing. I do not know why, just smooth and mmmmmm.....
