Aww, if anyone who's afraid of spiders ever decides to come visit me, please remind me that you are afraid of them at least a day or two in advance. We have spiders living in random places in our house, but we just leave them be because there are only two you have to be afraid of here (black widows and brown recluses), and with the insane fly problems we tend to have, spiders are VERY welcome. They avoid people, just keep to themselves. But I don't want them touching me, they touch me and they gotta go.
I once stayed on a barge that had spiders crawling everywhere, not big fuckers like you get in hot countries, but still quite big house spiders. The owners didn't seem to mind. I'm not as bad as I used to be with Spiders, but that I decided to sleep in my tent. I don't mind them so much now, I learned to face my phobia. When I was younger if I went near a spider I would get this piercing noise in my ear and the hairs would stand up on the back on my neck, used to really panic me out, but I got over it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCO56iyBXtU Well, I have no sound for youtube videos right now... But, watching this affected me anyways. This guy seems to have no fear of them. I'm very phobic with spiders.
I'm kinda like Ramona. They're useful around the house, I don't even mind when they race across my monitor. But if they get on me they've had it.
I used to be really afraid of them, but when you have flies waking you up by loudly buzzing in your ear and trying to crawl up your nose, spiders that mind their own business and eat those flies are way welcome.
spiders are cool. I feed them crickets all the time. Well, not all the time, just when i see crickets and spiders in the same area.
“The Prophet Mohammad was hiding in a cave from his enemies when a spider came and built a web over the entrance. His enemies believed he couldn’t be in the cave because the web was unbroken. This is why it is (forbidden) to kill spiders and why this pattern is called named after the spider.”..
