Obama insults the police

Don't expect any discipline of any kind for the cop. They stick up for their own and I bet a hundred million billion dollars that if he is even investigated for what happened, it will be found he did nothing wrong. And that too is procedure. And I stand by my statement. It was NOT racial. Not unless the neighbor who called the cops was racist. It was simply cops doing what they do best. I have NO RESPECT for cops. At all. None.

I have a feeling you felt this way about cops a long time before this particular incident.

 

I was kinda being sarcastic. I would never condone such behaviour towards cops.

 

My comment din't have nuttin to do with the cop situation. Lunaverse said Obama is Stupid. I was just commenting on that.

The cop wasn't really in the wrong, anyways. Gates started it, and Crowley overreacted a little.

 

Yeah yeah, nobody knows what happened in the house but Gates and Crowley. But the most telling evidence to me is that when Crowley asked Gates to step outside (because he knew there was another man in the house. The neighbor saw two people.) neighbors reported yelling. This was supposedly before the arrest when Crowley was just trying to make sure everything was cool.

I wonder also just how often bad shit happens. Thousands of incidents will happen today where cops have to go investigate, and some of them the cop will act inappropriately. I wonder what percentage. I don't think it's that many, you just always here about the bad incidents where the cop acts like an ass.

If a cop has been given an anything goes order, you should act appropriately, know your rights and things will work out in the end. I spent 5 days in jail cause the authorities fucked up and there was a warrant out for my arrest and I am definitely not happy about it. So, yes I have been a victim of the system fucking up and a He-said-he-said, and I am talking to a lawyer about a lawsuit, if only a couple of thousand at least something. But the cop was as cool as could be expected.

But be respectful, know your rights and get the last laugh in the end. I was kidding when talking about verbally abusing the cop.

 

I don't know what happened here either. Maybe it was dark, maybe it was raining and the men had coats and hats on. Plus, when you see someone breaking in your neighbors house, you don't expect it to be the neighbor. Gates admitted that he locked his keys in the house.

 

Umm, dude, you are so wrong on so many points, I don't want to take the time to argue with you. If you can be this wrong, you may also be inconceivably stupid.

 

If this is the way things went down (We weren't there to know) Gates had no right to be asking for the badge. At this time Crowley had done nuthin wrong. He was leaving at this point? I work in customer service and sometimes it is part of my job to refuse to a customer to do something. Sometimes a customer asks me to do something that is illegal. And sometimes this pisses a customer off and they tell me that they are going to tell my boss. I say "Here is his phone number, he will be glad to hear that I am doing my job so well." rather than get pissed and yelling.

They expect everyone to be a wanker round here, so more often than not they go in heavy handed. I'm sure there are upstanding officers who are decent people, but i'm yet to meet them.

It's kind of sad that the whole country is focused on this one little incident and getting pissed off about it, while there are serious problems in the world that most people don't give a fuck about.

 

Cops are soldiers made to take away our rights. they oppress and abuse and trap us. i think that's a big problem. ans obviously if it a big problem if it upsets and angers so many people.

 

A bigger problem than a lot of folks want to admit. Maybe one of the most important.

 

Forget the racial issue and the cop abusing their power issue for minute because isn't it pretty scary that the people with the guns, taser, and license to kill have such thin skins?! Hopefully if I yell at a cop for being falsely accused of a crime I wont go to jail or worse shot.
