Need advice on stolen instrument

Okay so roughly 5 days ago I had a party for my eighteenth birthday. I invited only friends and somehow shady people made it into the party. Around 1 or 2 a.m. I realized that my $1100 bass guitar AND my guitar case were missing(I had placed the bass in the closet as to not attract shysty bastards). I gathered some intel and apparently this kid grabbed it out of the closet and was last seen sitting with it. I know this sketchy former(possibly still abusing) heroin user took my bass i'm almost certain. Everyone has said he steals stuff and they hate him not to mention even his own friend said he did it. My plan for revenge is as follows:A)wait until the police aren't investigating anymore(If indeed my bass never comes back).B) create thermite bomb, place over engine block, and bask in my revenge as the thermite renders the car useless. My only question for you is, how feasible is this as far as not getting caught by the cops? After all, they can't prove I did it without witnesses just as I can't prove that fuck stole my guitar. Any advice is accepted, and yes this may be a bit rash.

 

do it just dont get cought or be seen anywhere near the car !fu*k thiefs!

 

I plan on wearing all black and the whole mask deal if possible. I know I have to run fast, like kenya fast. Although I want to see the thermite spill through the engine block and onto the pavement:[ that's the fun part!

How is this for input, don't go wasting some junkie's car because you let his shitty path cross your shitty path and something got stolen. Either get your guitar back or let it go, nothing else is going to make your life any better in regards to this issue.

Yes not to mention I already went to his house (like a man) and talked to him about it,thanks though. By the way I wouldn't do this in the daylight, so I doubt it'd matter what I wore. Also unless you (Xac) have ever owned an instrument, I don't expect you to understand the sentimental as well as financial value of it. Therefore you don't understand the loss I have suffered.

 

There really is no use doing it. Whats the point? Its not like hes gonna think "I bet it was that guy whos guitar i stole, woah, im not gonna do that anymore". He'll probably retaliate, if he knows its you. If he doesn't know its you, your effort was in vain.

 

I suppose its personal satisfaction at the core of it. He'll know it was me he just cannot prove it. I'm usually a calm, friendly, and easy going individual. But this put me off my fucking rocker

Well you do have a good point, us humans who aren't musicians (if you can even call us humans at all) do not experiance loss nor do we experiance suffering. So you're are right to behave how ever you want because lets face it, no one will ever know suffering or loss quite like you.

I talked to him but his fluffhead ass of course denied everything up and down in the manner he would think I would expect him to deny it IF he was innocent. I agree you have to be stealthy as shit and on top of needing to cover your every trace. I have a lot of time to sit all day and think about it so it isn't something instantaneous or ill-prepared for.

 

if i got anything stolen and I knew who it was exactly i would fu*k them up AND get my stuff back =P

 

An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. What's to keep him from showing up at your crib with his friends and just beating you and taking your stuff as payback for his car? You get a whole bunch of your friends together, find him (preferably where he lives), and get him to pay up. He doesn't pay up, you and your friends take $1100 out of his face. You might end up in jail overnight or over the weekend for assault but its well worth it in that case, and he won't be looking for revenge after a beating like that, not unless he wants to start a fuckin war.

 

I had a problem like this with a "roommate" of mine about a week ago. He'd been stealing my food out of the fridge, and 1 day I practically caught him in the act (he was cleaning up). He denied it over and over, so I just rushed him and got that fool in a headlock. We called it a draw though and he still denied shit so I got my friends and dared him to try shit again. I wasn't going to beat his ass and get thrown in jail over $10 in food though, so I let it lie and he moved out a few days ago. Man, if that were $1100 instead of $10 though, his face would be so fucking swollen he wouldn't see or eat for a fucking month.

 

I say do it....but wait 5 or 10 years so he doesnt know it was you


...unless the heroin takes care of it first
