One thing that often runs through my mind, is the universe. I think about it all the time. Things like, Do Parallel universes exist? How many are there? Is there a way to travel there? so on, and so fourth. and about a month ago, I was meditating as I often do, and experienced a series of flashes on the inside of my eye lids, and a theory to match. The flash of images was quite brief, but it made sense the second I started to recall the thought. The following is what went through my head, and I'm not saying I believe it. It's just an interesting idea IMO; Okay , you know how lifeforms here are only formed with one of two things (or both): Water, and/or Sunlight. Well what if the sunlight that enters our atmosphere actually feeds water? I mean, the molecules that make up the water. And on those little molecules are more planets that OUR sun is feeding. Here, let me give you a visual. think of a magnifying glass. and how when you put one between the surface of the earth, and the Sun itself, you get an accurate, small scale, aim-able, source of light. what if OUR sun, fuels the sunlight for other universes on tiny little atoms/ molecules? Kinda makes you think what our sun is then huh? Just a thought.
I remember that as kids (around 11 years old) , when we were just being introduced to basic chemistry and physics, me and some of my most "advanced" buddies (Sci-Fi reading wise) had this "theory" of Universe (as , I am sure, many kids before, then and after may have) according to which there could exist tiny little worlds and planets on the scale of atoms and molecules which we were not aware of, and entire Universe could have been one giant human being among billions of others on some giant superplantet, and our planet earth was just one of the atoms of such super-giant human being Of course we didn't know yet even the bare basics of both chemistry and physics (we were just being introduced to it), which if we knew would make our thoery of Universe so much less fairy-tale like
What's so fairy tale about believe that Atoms could be universes containing other life forms? Just curious.
Oh well...if you are still curious and asking... may be I should just let you keep dwelling in fairy-tale world of yours .... No hard feelings.
Maybe but i cant say i agree that there are planets with in our planet. But could our planet be just an atom in something bigger? After all we are very small considering the grand picture of the cosmos >http://www.stumbleupon.com/s/#9LspdV/www.rense.com/general72/size.htm/ Antares is not the biggest thing in the known universe, who knows what is possible in the unknown parts or other universes if they do exist.
Maybe from the outside the whole thing looks like a great big star...to giants...and unimaginably enormous planets rotate around the universe.
I'm still not sure what you mean. Can you prove to me that inside atoms, other universes don't exist? If not, than how can you call it fairy tale?
I wonder who is more crazy me who thinks that there are giants or u who thinks that there are little dwarfs i guess we are both nuts:rofl:
Heh Don't interpret poetry too literally and don't mix it with the scientific interpretation of the physical world. If you are interested in what is known so far about the structure of elementary particles walk into your nearest library and look up under the subject of nuclear physics. Don't rely heavily on wikipedia, but this should give you some basic ideas: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_physics Good luck :cheers2:
I mean that, on an atomic scale, electrons and such orbit a great distance from teh nuclei. Maybe at a bigger scale, from a giant's perspective, stars/galaxies seem very close together. Maybe not, because I ain't done the math.
Here's a good one for you. The earth recycles water to quench our thirst. It creates wind to plant seeds so they grown into plants for us to eat. It keeps us alive because we are it's children. But what is it getting in return from us. We rape it's flesh and pollute it's soil. So why is it keeping us alive. If it chose to it could destroy mankind. What is it getting in return from us? How can we give it more?
I don't thiknk Earth is a sentient being in that sense - I don't think earth will say, "fuck these guys" *flick*. Its an ecosystem, and miraculously we haven't broken it - yet. The best way we can give back is to stop fucking things up.
Wherever did you see me stating that "curiosity is immature"? Believing in fairy-tales certainly is immature though.
When ppl think of an atom most of us see this in our head And I think this is the source of the idea that there are small worlds hidden within the atomic scale. electrons(planets) do not orbit the nucleus(sun) like our imagination likes to think its not a solar system hehe, it's actually just a cloud of random mess that is sorta confined in a small area. I dislike like Eco nuts, evolution is trail and error process we just started to understand that killing each other with sticks and rocks is wrong progress at humankind scale is slow. Let us make our mistakes and learn from them if we are weak/dumb strain of life we will die out so be it evolution(nature) shall prevail and let a new species maybe a better one have its chance.
Wave-particle manifestation of matter as described in Quantum Physics which eliminates planetary description of elementary particle world as was thought of in earlier classic model, thank you Seriously, though, what the subject matter that is being discussed here, other than the oh so obvious "atomic" spin given to any hint of truly correct answer?
Perhaps the entire universe is like a mirror and natural disasters are a subconscious reflection, to some degree, of humanity's inner turmoil with the destruction we are wreaking upon the planet.
It has been perennial dream and wish of all opressed people ,through the history of mankind, for some kind of Universal Justice and Karma to exist there, but all the empirical evidence points to the contrary. In fact the whole existence in Nature has always and consistently been possible at the cost of destruction and preying of ones on others. Like it or not, this is the reality. This is the Universe we live in. Should you be ever destroyed, know this: it is only because you were weak and became a prey of some more powerful predator. Should you prevail then know that there is nothing to it but the fact that you were the most powerful predator out there among those over whom you prevailed. This is the only law of Nature that can be observed in fact, like it or not. And I say not what I wish to be the reality, I simply admit it to be what it is, regardless of my individual wishes. Be strong, fight, prevail ! If not, then be man enough to admit you lost and do dare to stare into the eyes of reality, no matter what it is.
