I suppose how much you tip a hair stylist depends of where you go and how much money you have to throw around. Was it a good haircut? Did you enjoy your time? I can not give a percentage because I just give them what I feel like giving them. So are we talking a $10 or a $100 type of place?
It costed me $120.00 for a cut, & streaks the other day. My hair was very long. The price was higher than I thought, & I didn't have much cash left after paying... I gave her twenty bucks. Does that seem ok?
$121.00 for a tip..! Only if she was giving me lines and going down on me while simultaneously giving me the best haircut I've ever had in my life.
Put 15 $1 bills on the table. Tell her "everytime you make a mistake I'm taking $1 from your tip" If she does anything you don't like just look her right in the eye and take a bill away. Repeat if necessary.
i go to a barber who has been cutting my hair since i was a baby...he still charges me for a kids cut...i give him a good tip - he's a great guy i wouldn't do that for some other person though - no fuckign way
Why tip? People act like its mandatory. The only time I'd tip is if i was a regular. Cuz then the cooks will say "Hey its that bitch that doesn't tip" and masturbate into my burger.
Ducky... There's no way I could've cut the back myself. It was way too long. I do trim my own bangs. Prior to this I hadn't been to a hairdresser in at least ten years. (that's why I was out of touch w/the tipping situation) I used to have a friend cut the back for me. But, I moved out of that state, & know nobody here that I'd trust to cut it.
