I know that's gross - but I have a million mosquito bites on my legs that turned into bloody scabs from extensive scratching and I find it hard to resist picking them.. does anyone else have these.. urges?

when i have scabs they do NOT last, because i can't leave them alone.

i don't get scabs from mosquito bites though, because i've mastered the art of ignoring them for 10 minutes so they just go away.

I live in Florida...It is 105 degrees on a cool day, and humid as it can get without actually being able to swim in the air...
You can't walk outside without having about twenty on you right there.

So, I resist the scratch at first, and then the bump goes away within minutes. And I don't have a problem anymore...

thank you! most people refuse to try this even once, and they just go on assuming mosquito bites are a week-long malady for their entire lives. :cheers2:

I stopped doing that after a regular old mosquito bite turned into a lifetime scar. My will power is good.

maybe it's just me, my dad, and sarah karigo, but if any of us leave them for a few minutes and don't scratch them AT ALL, they go away completely within about 15 minutes.

I can't imagine even trying to resist scratching. I think I'd go through behavior worthy of some mental asylum freak, like hitting random things and screaming.

Now maybe I'm just really sensitive.

Try slapping instead of scratching. that's how my cousin scratches his head when he gets his hair braided. Maybe it'll work, maybe not. Worth a try.
